Help upgrading to electronic shifiting.

The arthritis in my right thumb is just too severe to allow shifting using the Shimano Deore shift lever.

I have found that they make electronic shifting that should be compatible with my bike. Here are the parts I am looking into. Has anyone else done this upgrade?

SC-MT800, RD-M8050, SW-M8050R, SM-BTC1, CS-M8000, HG-X11, plus three wire to plug everything together.

Well I ended up switching out the shifter and derailleur from Shimano SLX to Shimano XT. I got much easier shifting but still not super-easy.

I also "joined" a Kickstarter for an electric solenoid based shifting system that is supposed to ship in the spring. It replaces the long cable from the handlebar to the derailleur with a bluetooth connected solenoid that is zip-tied to the chain stay.

I'll post more when I install it. I am in no way connected with this Kickstarter
