First Batch of Evelo Omegas Has Landed

The first containers of the new Eveleo Omegas have landed in the Port of Tacoma, cleared customs and found their way to the Evelo distribution warehouse. Many but not all of the bikes were already ordered and reserved but there are still bikes available. Any bike ordered now should ship within a week or so, something quite rare in today's ebike market.

My Omega is replacing a stolen Aurora Limited, an ebike I really enjoyed riding. The Omega has puts out 10% more torque, has around 10% larger battery and weighs about 10 pounds less. It has a cleaner simpler look with the internal battery, an optional second battery
and more conventional chain and seat stays and deeper step through. Otherwise it has the same drive train and brakes as the Aurora.

I am really looking forward to customizing and riding it soon.

Battery question: Is the main battery on the down tube and that’s a second battery over the back wheel?

Correct. The 720 wh main battery lives inside the downtube. The optional battery with dedicated rack is 696 wh This will likely provide close to 100 miles of battery range. The auxiliary battery slides out and can be left at home if it is not needed. The rack installs with four bolts and the battery receiver plug in to a rubber covered pad already wired into the system. It uses the same controller that Bosch uses in its dual battery setups.

Compared to my new specialized Vado 5 both the same same auto shift it has more power yet surprising limited to 25mph not even the full 28mph class 3 and no front suspension option.

I like what I read about their products but get stuck on the 2 issues above. I would think unlocked the bike bike was capable to more speed then even 28, must be a company decision.I would take all I can get. l am sure front suspension is available through aftermarket but I would prefer to purchase from manufacturer or dealer and not void any warranty.

My new Omega was delivered on June 22. It arrived in good condition with a minor paint scratch on the front wheel, something easily fixed with some matt black Testors model paint. It was an easy assembly, just mounting the handlebar, with stem attached, to the steering tube and installing the...

I hardly ever use the throttle. It's such a fun bike to pedal
