E-Bikes: The Fountain of Youth for Aging Athletes

I thought that the forum members might enjoy this video that my daughter did for a graduate class at Duquesne University - her introduction to the video is below. The video is here:

This video was created as a final project for Duquesne University's Video Production Class in Fall 2020. Our objective was to highlight a product and what makes it important for the audience. Documenting the improvements that e-bikes provide to their riders was an easy topic! They are phenomenal for every level of rider: casual beginners, urban commuters, and like these gents, accomplished aficionados. Be sure to visit your local bike shop to learn more about how an e-bike can change your life, too. Yes, a nicely produced little video. I don't much like video, but most folks do, so production quality matters to those just learning about ebikes. Good job.

Love it! Dave, your descriptions and analyses of your Giant are great, and "E-bike Evangelist" Jeff's summaries are spot on, too. Kudos to "Jillita" for producing this inspirational and informative piece

On the video editing side, the volume of the background music makes it difficult for me to fully understand everything said, though I'm always grateful for synchronized and accurate closed captioning. I was born with the hearing of an 80 year old, and now that I'm pushing 60, it's getting worse (as most folks' hearing is apt to do). Given that the target audience appears to be elderly cyclists, many of whom are too stubborn to use hearing aids (like my 94 YO dad), I wonder if it can be turned down a notch or two?

Even with in-ear amplification, background sound that rivals the volume of spoken words can make enunciation hard for the hard-of-hearing to decipher, despite what "Miracle Ear" and other marketing campaigns falsely claim. I regularly watch Vice News Tonight, and although they cover many important stories that the networks often ignore, their background music sometimes seems louder than the reporting! Unfortunately, their CC efforts tend to lag far behind the corresponding video, but I digress...

Overall, I'm really impressed, and hope it goes "viral" - in a good way! I'll do my part and share it widely
