After a mighty struggle to remove the tire to replace a flat, I saw that my rim tape adhesive appears to be failing, and peeling off at the sides. I tried to straighten it up, and push the tape back on around the rim, but it peeled back off again when replacing the tire.
Do these pictures look normal, or should I take the bike in to get the tape replaced? Perhaps this is why I was struggling to remove the tire.
It is a 27.5 x 2.8” plus sized tire
