Commuting in Albuquerque during Balloon Fiesta—Oh my gosh, this is FUN!

Day 2 work commute- It’s impossible to arrive at work grumpy when after the first turn from my driveway I see a zebra- shaped hot air balloon floating in the crisp blue sky. The exercise ring on my fitness tracker watch, which rarely exceeds 10% of the goal, has reached 210% of the goal 2 days in a row! My watch probably thinks someone else is wearing it.

I leave too early in the morning at 5:30am to see any balloons on my ebike ride into work. I can see them later in the morning if they make their way south just north of downtown (I-40/12th street). Starting to get chilly out and I had to add some extra layers this morning! I have to pack 2X the riding gear in fall and spring because it can be in the 30s/40s in the morning and 60s/70s by afternoon.

Wife and I are planning to hit the special shapes on Thursday night, 10/11/18, and avoid the traffic by taking our ebikes.
