Color Configurator Hydra - Draft - Please provide feedback

One of the items we want to do is offer a reasonable representation of what the bike will look like with colors (close enough).

I have been working on the color chooser tool and I would like to get some feedback from you (link here: https://cdn.soft8soft.com/AROAJSY2G.../applications/wattwagonsbike_v_0_3/index.html)

1. Comment on layout
2. Comment on areas to color
3. Color accuracy (based on what you have seen)
4. Which colors will be helpful.

Working on the following
1. As @scrambler showed us, we want to add the ability to upload your own decals. Users will have to provide high res images.
2. Allowing more granularity on the faces to color.
3. Rolling this out for the Helios models too.

Are all of the colors on this list being added to the configurator and will we be able to search by color code and real name vs. the description? I note on the configurator H-306 shows as the first color in each section, but beyond that only your description.
 
Looks great to me. To confirm though, the battery cover will match the color of the frame as well for the Hydra and Helios?

Yes, that is the goal (when you select a color, the code shows up). I am using descriptors from cerakote that describe the color in a little more detail.

If you click on the down arrow (not big enough) you can see the drop down and select more colors.
 
Part of the reason I like darker colors is to my eye they go better with the black of the motor, battery, tires etc.
 
Of all the pics on the site I think this one pretty faithfully renders this color: H-294 Midnight Bronze

Two quick questions, @pushkar:
  1. We have to choose our color from your list in the color configurator? We can't choose any color from Cerakote?
  2. What do you mean by faces in "more granularity on the faces to color"?

1. This is just a test of the UI / rendering / layout etc. I have started with a somewhat curated list and we will add more colors that riders like. Users can absolutely specify other colors not on the selector as well.

2. More granularity e.g. so breaking up the large color regions into smaller regions so people can see different combos. Instead of one big part, do multiple small parts . e.g. right now when you select inside, it selects the entire triangle. However it doesn't select the inside of chainstays.
 
Ah, gotcha, @pushkar. Thanks for the clarification on both.

I assume that there will be an extra cost if we configured multiple colors.
 
As far as UI, it wasn't initially clear to me that selector 1 overrides choices from both selectors 2 and 3. You may want to explicitly clarify to the customer that you choose either

A) a single color with selector 1
or
B) two colors with selector 2 and selector 3

In other words, group the choices somehow.
