I am wondering if there is any long-term concern over the issue of vibrations and iPhones. This link takes you to an article which talks about Apple’s concern with vibrations on motor scooters. Frankly, the newer Trek bikes are easily as fast as some scooters and can go in rougher terrain. I wonder is this is going to be a problem?

Who knows? But folks have been mounting phones on bikes for years, and I don't think the smartphone hub is any more vibration prone than the mounts you buy at a bike store or Amazon. Have you googled for discussion of phone problems on bikes?

I should add that I use an older phone I had in a drawer, without a SIM card. My current phone is in a handlebar bag.

with a motorcycle you have engine vibrations so thats a big factor.
