Bosch Activeline Plus - inaccurate speed...

I've had my new Synapse Neo 1 (Purion display unit) for a week now and notice that its speed reading is about 3 km/hr faster than my wahoo speed sensor I put on the bike. This means the assist is cutting out at around 26 _ 27 km/hr instead of 30 km/hr. The wahoo speed sensor seems accurate, as it matches up with other rider speeds on group rides.

Any tips for how to resolve this? Running the OEM wheels and tires.

this seems typical about 1.5 mph faster. though for accuracy you need to do average speed as the gps jumps around a lot . once I got an Intuvia and now the kid Could adjust the wheel size. I found grttingthe averages to mach up seems a better way to go.

I'm a little disappointed if the actual assist is cutting out at 26 - 27 km/hr since many of my fellow riders have an average speed of around 30 km/hr. I've done a 100 km on the new bike, typically showing the Purion speed of 30 - 32 km average, and my actual ride speed average is consistently coming in at an average of 26.5 km/hr via my Wahoo Roam / speed sensor data. Hate to say it, but Bosch are helping to create the perfect situation where people would want to tune their systems (not me). I hope I can work with my local bike shop to get the Bosch system to accurately read the speed and deliver the assistance as advertised.

I think they can adjust it. both of my bosch bikes do this

I have the same problem with the Purion display on my new Cannondale Neo Lefty 3. I've compared the Purion's speed with both my GPS watch and a cheap wireless bike

computer had from a previous bike. When the Purion is showing 30kph my actual speed on both the GPS watch and bike computer showed 1.5kph less.

To add insult to injury the motor cuts out at 31.7kph on the purion display, so factor in the 1.5kph difference the motor is actually cutting out at 30.2kph.

I'm taking my bike back to the dealer in September, hoping this Purion display speedo inaccuracy can be fixed, but I suspect they won't be able to fix it.

I wonder if moving up to a better display would help. I know that fooferdoggie had problems with his upgrade.

almost 400 for the new Kiox display installed , to fix their error? I don’t really care how fast I am moving per a number , not really worried about getting pulled over for speeding as I am in my car but I do want the full power and speed advertised.

i do believe we should get botH accuracy and power but power/speed is the more important of the 2

With my performance speed motor I don’t hit 28 often so it’s ok. I adjusted the wheel size on our tandem and there is still little assistance at 19 mph. But now it is a true speed.
