Bad battery or safety feature?

The resin pads worked. Squealing stopped.
Thanks Robospace
But I cheaped out on Amazon since I already tried a set of pads and they didn't stop the squealing.
I bought a cheap set with only a few reviews to try. None of the pads fit on the one side of the caliper. I didn't have anything to measure but sanded them down to fit.
That's good. Glad you got rid of that jarring squeal. I had that a few times before getting it figured out. I switched to resin pads because I don't ride in the rain. Before every ride I spray the rotor down, inside and out with alcohol. Wipe off the brake dust and head out. Takes 5 minutes. No squeal. I use Shimano pads.

I didn't get any replies in my other thread so I thought I would try you regulars and hijack my own thread lol
Ecotric has a sale. Looking at a couple of fat tire Cheetahs. Still have the seagulls.
Any opinions? 500 watt motor ok?
Just looking for casual riding around the hood.
$1428 for 2 bikes shipped with tax.
$659 for a bike. I paid $400 just for a Seagull battery lol

That's a good price but why drop 50% of the powerfrom the Seagull? Guess it depends how big you are and how many hills you ride over. I need 1000 watts for my size and steep streets. My gf has the 500w Leopard and it does pretty good on hills but finds it hard to keep up with me. Either way that's a great price.

Not getting rid of Seagulls.
They are in a different location.
I just sold my real pedal bike. Screw that noise lol
Want to try a fat tire bike
Just trying to do a budget friendly pair of bikes to get out and ride.
Although I did change to the Rocket with the front suspension. $200 more for the pair.
Watching some reviews from a couple years ago people were paying around $900 without the suspension

It's not clear whether they use the 5 PAS level LCD or the 3 PAS level LED on the handlebars. With the LCD, I think it will be a nice 36V fat tire bike for the money. The drawback with the 3 speed LED is that you have less control on pedal assist speed and no speedometer.

I had the Ecotric 36V 20" fat tire bike, and just because I could, and didn't care about costs, I upgraded to 48V with a stronger controller and 5 level PAS display.

.

Ended up with a Rocket.
Front suspension and found out the part numbers are different and mine has a suspension seat post.
Trying one for now. $801 shipped

Nice. "Walking around money" for an ebike with a UL certified battery, although let's not take that too literal as you don't want to be walking.
