Anyone tried Schwalbe G-One Allround tire?

Pros & cons vs Marathon and Teravail Ehline? (Aside from price). Loads of brands but differences seem minimal..
Mainly riding on gravel roads, sometimes on sand/dirt roads, and of course poorly paved roads with puddles etc.

I have the G-one 700x40c (70 psi max) on my BH gravel bike (Yamaha PW-SE drive). On the same bike I can only compare them to Continental Doublefighter 700x35c (87 psi max) and Continental Gatorskin 700x32c (100+ psi max). The G-One seems like a decent tire with reasonably good traction on gravel, smooth on pavement. Trade off is rolling resistance. One of the tires developed cracks exposing the cords - Schwalbe replaced it even though it was almost 2 years old and somewhat worn with over 2400 miles. While waiting for the replacement I put the Doublefighter on the rear (87 psi max). I usually run near max rated psi so the ride was stiffer and looser on gravel as expected with the thinner tire and less rolling resistance. Of course the Gatorskin had much less rolling resistance than either of those but obviously not for gravel and the ride was brutally harsh on anything other than smooth pavement.
I won't need replacement tires for this bike in the foreseeable future but I doubt that I'd go with G-One again, not that there's anything wrong with them.
Probably not helpful info for you but it's all I got other than I've had regular Marathons on other bikes-wear like iron but not really for gravel.

If you don’t mind me saying, it sounds to me like you might be running all these tyres at too high psi. Anything around 38/44c should probably be down in the 50s range of psi. Even road bikes are using lower psi now with the typical 30c tyres at the TdF down at around 60psi. Though the internal rim width on these race bikes is very wide. This lower pressure won’t effect your rolling resistance but will create more comfort for you which has benefits in long rides especially on gravel. Try some of the online tyre/tire sites where you can put in your weight, tyre size etc and see what they recommend. Silca and Rene Herse do ones & I think Continental as well.

I agree. I'm a big guy, just started riding a 700c 44c G-One Bite and started at 40psi front, 45psi rear and that's more than enough.

If you care about the opinion of someone with 30 miles on a tire, the G-one Bite seems good so far. Looks like the tire is identical in the center. The bite is just more knobby on the sides.

BH Gravel X that I bought on a whim deeply discounted from bicycle blue book when they were clearing out inventory after BH left the North America Market. It's really a great bike with 2x11 105 drivetrain and Yamaha drive unit. I've ridden it in Oregon, Washington, Utah and Arizona on pavement and gravel with the vast majority of miles on the stock Schwalbe G-One "Allround" version. I've made some changes over the almost 5 years that I've had it, mostly because I mess around with all of my bikes. No issues with the Yamaha drive (or battery) which I think provides powerful assist but also with very good range, especially when ridden in the lower levels of assist.

Here it is when I first got it Nov. '19 on a local(ish) ride. Ignore the neoprene wrap I had on the battery - it was a cold day in the 30s to low 40s and I thought it might be a good idea to insulate the battery some.

My brother consciously selected Schwalbe G-One Overland 365 45-622 (700x45) for his Marin gravel bike. He rides that bike from early Spring to late Autumn. He has enormous experience in bike/e-bike riding, and he thinks these tyres are ideal for gravel rides in the conditions from good to quite poor, and for the most of the season.
