Anyone else see this, this morning? Style looks similar but nicer than a Super73 and since it appears the battery is concealed in the front downtube it looks like the false"tank" could be built in storage. Or it probably houses the controller. Storage would have been cool.

Yes I watched a video on YouTube unveiling the cruiser,lx,and rockstar also. But these madmods look great for the price. 1400$ when the competition is around 3000$.

Seems like an awesome deal. The lack of rear mud flap gives me pause. They claim that the rear seat doubles as a functional mud-flap.... I wonder.

Rear fenders will probably be available since they are touting the ability to customize. More over between these MadMods and their Elite line, Sondors has really stepped up the design aspect and range of different products they offer.

I could have been more clear. They will offer a front fender. They do not and do not plan on offering a rear fender. I asked them directly over IM.

Just curious. Why is that a good thing? (I personally can't decide, and it seems like a neutral change.)

A 24" tire should lower your cadence at a given speed compared to a 20". Slightly better feel on the road too. Not sure if the lack of tire options outweigh those benefits

It should/could improve the pedal height (reducing "ground strikes"), provide for a larger frame so better pedaling in general, improve attack angle for smoother ride, raise overall seat height for adults and larger people, and look less goofy for people over 5'-10". I don't know if their design will accomplish all these things, but it could.

Stand-over height:

Mad Mod - 31 inch
Scrambler - 35 inch
Scorpion - 33 inch
AR D-class - 31.5 inch
AR X-class - 32 inch
Blade - 34 inch


Maybe it will be better built for taller people. The stand-over height is actually less than other scramblers, so i'm not sure. There are other factors than just stand-over height.

I am still tempted to order one.... we'll see.

One thing that doesn't grab me with this design is the battery up high. I'm sure the frame is stiffer that way, but I like the Scorpion-style with the battery in/on the downtube and a step-through; lower center of gravity and less interference when pedaling.

All I know is this new madmod looks great In the pics and I like the different style handle bars to choose from,The rear seat cowl,the high capacity battery,hydrolic disk brakes and all for 1400$ where the others are around 3000$.

Agreed, the different handle bars is a win. I prefer the higher handle bars. But, it's not $1,400.... it's $1,500.

I think the battery is on the down tube. The higher-up thing is possibly containing the controller. But, I agree it's unclear.

I also want to add that it's great that all these new bikes will utilize the same battery. Swapping batteries between bikes now becomes feasible for those that have multiple rides. You can ride with a significant other one day or pack a spare battery for a long solo ride.
