Where to wire in a (2) terminal plug on 48v e-bike for inflator pump

I have a new Lectric 3.0 step through. I want to wire in a two terminal plug to power a small inflator pump ( on Amazon ) that runs on 12v or 48v or 60v, voltage switch on pump it self ( guessing as I haven’t bought the pump yet) I just need a short pigtail ( SAE) to be able to plug the inflator into ( that I will also fix a SAE terminal to). Not sure where to tie into safely. I will put a fuselink. Thanks for any replies.

Not sure where to tie into safely.

From the backside of the connector on your e-bike where the battery connects.

I had a spare connector so I wired it directly to my compressor.

I've got a little mini hand pump as a backup, but it would probably take an hour to pump up a tire.

An electric pump is nice to have.

If you alter the wiring harness on your new bike, you could void any warranty.
The best way to do this is to remove the battery from the bike when you want to use the pump and wire this 5 pin connector to it:

The two outside pins are + and - , which are clearly marked on the battery.

You will also need to get a pump that will work on 48V.

A simpler way to do this is to buy a cheap extension cord, cut the molded plug in half, and wire it to the pump. make sure to observe the correct polarity when plugging it into the battery:

If you want to use a 12V pump, you will need a step down converter, such as this one:

As you mention, installing a fuse is always a good idea.
