What do you think between these two choices?

Hello, new to forum. Currently have a Trek 7100 Hybrid that I've had for several years, has been a good bike. Just that I'm older now and sometimes can't go as far as want, especially when going up hills. Usually stick to bike paths, there are many in my area of Ohio. Looking at either Trek Verve +2 or Specialized Turbo Vado 3.0. Am able to purchase either for around $2700 range. Opinions please. Thank you. Joeycdog.

Welcome to EBR! Those 2 bikes are very comparable as far as component level is concerned and either should serve you well. Have you test ridden them? Also, the support from your local dealer may be important so you want to buy from a dealer you trust.

The Vado does have an advantage in connectivity with their Mission Control app that lets you see ride specs and customize assist levels if that's important to you.

Welcome to EBR. I rented a pair of Verve 2s for a weekend and didn't like them very well: "twitchy" handling, mechanical brakes, and QC issues (pedal fell off ). The Verve 3 was better but more money.
Bought the Specialized Como 3s (same components as the Vado 3) and am very happy with the bikes. YMMV.

Thanks for the input and welcome. Haven't ridden yet, either dealer that have are around an hour or more away from my area. Going to contact them to make sure still have in stock and check out. FYI, the latest Trek Verve 2 now has Hydraulic brakes. Again thanks for input.
