Thanks for having me

Hello everyone and thanks for having me. I live in southern Spain and manage to ride around 800km a month. Today I collected a new Orbea Gain M30 electric road bike. Up to now I have been riding a Scott Spark hardtail eMTB, a very solid and substantial bike. I have just finished setting up the new bike and have only ridden it around the block before charging the battery. My first feeling is that it feels very fragile and unsubstantial after the eMTB, the electric system also feels less thought out than the Bosch system. Hopefully a longer ride will dispel these vague feelings. We will see.

Welcome Neil, looking forward to seeing your adventures on your ebikes. Maybe a photo?

Someone's Gain is someone else's Loss. Yours' is my impression of the Gain too. For fun, try shifting into the lowest gear and putting it into the highest power level. Then pedal as slowly as is humanly posable.
What does that feel like? How fast does it go like this? How far can you ride this way until the final bar on the battery?

PedalUma, I suggest you stop posting until you buy yourself the first manufactured ebike. You become pathetic.

Have you not yet tried this with an Orbea Gain? You should. I am not into whippy bikes that are over priced and am into The Right to Repair. To each his/her own.

The North American Orbea Representative sat next to me for nine months, seven-feet away every day. I overheard every conversation he had with Spain, Basque. We would then say everything with a lispy th, and we would all laugh. I sold a ton of these bikes online. When I asked him in front of everybody if the Gain has a torque sensor he said, "Yes". He thought it was true. I did not contradict the guy. He was obviously wrong, clearly a bafoon to all. This bike is proprietary X-35. Useless to try to update or repair yourself. I had two to use, over two separate weekends as sales demos. It kind of sucks to someone who has ridden a Scott Spark. The Gain is the weak-end bike. Weak. People who have not ridden electric bikes like a five-minute demo and buy them. Cool easy sale! It is funny that these same people then put on adult diaper pants to ride these whippy bikes. Just recharge every hour.

@Neil 1: I apologize for the behaviour of the forum member PedalUma who seems to be living in some parallel reality, completely foreign to us. Many happy kilometres, and welcome to EBR Forums!
