Bicycles have been around a long time, and I would think the dynamics have been pretty well worked out. So it seems odd that small wheels, a short wheelbase, and a steep head angle would equate to more stability, which is what I equate to a track cycle (fast and twitchy handling). But I only glance at the paper and I am not an engineer.
Interesting idea. 48v is rare for Euro bikes. https://www.ebike-manufaktur.com/en...gates-nuvinci-ecvp-380-disc-continental-600whEbike-Manufaktur 8CHT (Germany)
Uses a Gates belt drive and a new-for-2018 mid-drive motor from Continental partnering with NuVinci, called the 48v eBike Revolution system, mounting the NuVinci 380% range CVT gear hub at the crank rather than the rear wheel. The 2-in-1 system lets the rider choose automatic or manual gear shifting.
