The ByAr Volta uses a 2-speed direct drive hub motor with regen (no throttle), batteries inside the frame, and a retractable cable lock that comes out of the rear of the seat post.

The Beixo Electra is a folding ebike with a Nexus 7 IGH

Another Dutch brand Brikbikes makes shaft drive pedal bikes including several step through models suitable for converting with a front hub motor.

That gazelle has hyraulic rim brakes as does my wife's Gazelle easy flow.. I was very skeptical about these brakes until I rode the bike. They have excellent feel and modulation and plenty of stopping power. I have no clue how to service them though.

Yeah I got to trial out an EasyFlow earlier this summer, I also liked the stopping power. I'd leave the technical side of bleeding hydraulics to a local bike shop, but replacing the pads seems easy.

The E-Ville is my wife's bike and she loves it. Very stable for a step-through and quite heavy. There is also a Nuvinci automatic 8 speed shift.
