ST1 New Battery Model?

Hey guys, just picked up an ST1 Elite recently and so far enjoying it. I'm considering buying an extra battery for longer rides and thought the Gold battery (522wh) was the highest capacity offered.

However, after visiting the Stromer website today, they list a Blue battery that appears to be made for the ST1 with 620wh (it's weird, the website says 620 but the battery itself says 630)? I tried searching for more info and where I could buy this one, but so far, it appears there's no information at all about this?

Does anyone know where I can get one of these?

That might be the new battery for the new ST1x: 618Wh. It's not compatible with your bike.

Hi I don't think it's for St1x. The website clearly says it's for the St1 and they even separately show the St1x battery and it's a rectangular shape same as the St2, whereas this one is more of an octagon.

It has the shape of the ST1, interested to see the connector., Is it 48 or 36 volts? anybody brave enough to stick 48 volts on an st1 if it is? :). May just be the current gen battery for ST1 w/better cells

That's great news. Hopefully, will be able to get my hands on one of these new higher capacity batteries here in Canada. The range is advertised to be the same as the ST1X's 618Wh battery, so I'm definitely excited.

(Link Removed - No Longer Exists)[That appears to be the "business end" of the battery, doe it seem to match up with your battery charger connector? I know that there is a dongle for the ST-1 that is used if you choose to charge the battery outside of the bike...

Maybe @bluecat knows more about this. I was absolutely convinced that Stromer would discontinue the 36V bikes, but I'm glad they didn't...

The product strategy is somehow inscrutable to me...

The blue BO630 battery with 36V and 630Wh for the ST1 will be will be available from january 2017. Its price tag says 1'190 EUR.

With other words: The ST1 still exists.

BQ = battery square = ST1x | ST2 | ST2s

BO = battery octagonal = ST1 | Classic V1 + V1.1
