Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Yes, definitely a great ride with @Alaskan last week! My first experience on the Centennial Trail and my longest ride, about 29 miles, on my new bike! I truly enjoyed your company, Richard, thank you for everything. You also gave me some great tips on safer road crossings, foot/pedal placement options and pushing with the heel, etc.

Isn’t it funny how physical experiences can bring back forgotten memories? I love your take off technique! It’s effortless and elegant and I can’t do it, but it reminds me of childhood. Here it is: you put all your weight on your left foot on the left pedal at 9:00 o’clock, your legs are pretty straight and your right leg is crossed a bit in front of your left, then as you start to roll, keep balancing everything on the left side and cross your right foot over and start pedaling away.

Ha-ha, I’m inspired. I will keep practicing. Thanks again! Cheers!
I need a video or at least pictures to understand that take off technique:)

Hi, again, about the take off technique @Alaskan is so expert at... sorry about my earlier description, it's lacking. Here's a video demo you'll get a kick out of, 7 Magnificent Ways to Mount Your Bicycle.

I would say @Alaskan's technique is a variation on the "Single Footed Rollaway" at time marker 1:04, whereas my customary method is called "The Assisted Lift," demonstrated at time marker 2:08. ;)

Great photo. Liking those red pedals!
What is that long rectangular black device on the down tube?
Thanks, MJ! The Pedaling Innovation Catalyst pedals are awesome and the red color adds flair and speed.

Yes, indeed, the large item on the down tube is a very heavy segmented folding lock from Abus. This lock is keyed the same as another Abus "D" tube lock I use as well as the same as the onboard battery lock from Specialized- one key fits all.

The Curb Assist is a great one I use after my regular weekend coffee stop, when I roll out -- at least, with normal-height curbs rather than that monster cliff-face he had...!

No Sunday ride this week as I'm going to the first motor racing meeting of the new season! When its a bit warmer I look forward to cycling there, its an 80 mile round trip but no problem for the e bike :) So even though the weather wasn't very nice today I was determined to get out there, it was dry at first but the rain soon set in for the day...still managed 65 miles which takes my 2019 total past 1000 miles, 1024 to be exact! The pics suffered today due to the weather...

The pics are good. Bright sharp sunlight is far from always best for photography. Maybe riding suffered a bit due to the rain:)

Very true, visibilty was very poor today but it was still enjoyable :) There's something theraputic about riding in rain sometimes :D

It feels easier to breathe in wet weather even if I know there isn’t more oxygen in the air when it’s raining. I often like to feel the rain against my face.
Another thing I like is wearing sport sandals when it’s warm an raining and feel the water around toes when cycling:D

Ah..the cheater start....

The ebike specific older man start, leave the bike in top gear, dial up max assistance, left pedal @ 11 oclock, brakes on, and in one seemingly expert motion pedal, swing, release the brake and dissapear into the distance before anyone can hear you groaning. Should have dropped that seat........

One of my better photos on a bike (not an ebike) when I was a youngster.
