Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

For the benefit of our American cousins, Jacxx, it might be wise to expand upon the meaning of Winers as meaning those who are forever complaining. ?

Oh, no worries; we use "winers" in that same meaning across the pond, too! (Vs. say, perhaps thinking the word means "people into wine." Which of course are oenophiles!)

A common, tongue-in-cheek comment to someone whining is "would you like some crackers and cheese with that whine?" and yes, we do spell the word with an "h" on this side of the pond.

Depending upon which neck of the woods you come from Whinging is used instead of Wining eg 'oh do stop whinging. This obviously has the letter 'h' inserted which Wining might also have by the way. Can't really say for sure as although often spoken I've seldom, if ever, had to write it.

I do like that "Put Down" Alaskan. Yeah normally we also use the Whine spelling. The TV show "Wine" referred to the nostaligic, mature element of the main cast trio. Three old lads, pals from school day's, behaving like men - badly, ie. Having never grown up. Bit like us? Riding bikes out, with mates.

Or I hope, practice it? Whinging, tends to be more Northern Britain.

I have an Aussie friend I email with frequently, and she tells stories of this or that person whinging on... ;)

With a forecast of gusty winds tomorrow, I managed to free up some ride time today! I had to split my ride into 2 parts though, just over 30 miles in the morning and just over 40 in the afternoon! The winds were supposed to be around 15mph today but once again they were way off  I shouldn't complain though as I have been lucky enough to get out most weekends! My total for 2019 is now 855 miles from 14 rides, not a bad first quarter:) I noticed I surpassed 18,000 miles on my gps today which I started using at the end of 2011, a total of 18,021 miles from 326 rides and 972,309 feet of climbing  So later this year I should complete 1 million feet of climbing, so much easier now of course thanks to this awesome e bike :D It doesn't look like I will be cycling tomorrow so maybe a rest day will do me good ;)

Very light winds here in Yorkshire on the coast today Rab. Well done on the mileage. Ronnie O'Sullivan not the only record breaker then!

Fulfilled a long desire of my German born wife to tour the UK back in 2013. Back home, after covering close on 4000km and most areas of the UK, I asked her to tell me her favourite part and why. Her reply was Yorkshire, the beautiful landscape, the openness and friendliness of the people and the overall informality when compared to her home land. Believe it or not but we still address most of our neighbours by saying "Good morning Mr/Mrs xxx" as opposed to being INVITED to use informal Christian names and that after 25+ years of knowing them. Needless to say we returned to the UK the following year where we spent four wonderful weeks solely in Yorkshire. And yes, before you ask, we've watched every series of 'All Creatures Great and Small ' several times over.

love riding in Yorkshire .. strayed into north Yorkshire today :)

Looks like I need to head to Yorkshire, better bring a spare battery ;) I have family in Yorkshire (near Skipton) but haven't visited for 30 years plus! The past month here the winds have been incessant...

Thanks Jaxx :)
