After taking 15+ year break from biking, I picked up this Haibike allmtn 6.0 used for a great deal.. I can't get get over how fun it is!

Spring has sprung and it was time to explore some new backcountry trails with a view of the Bay.

I left my ebike at home and took my light, carbon road bike instead. I took a short break at the water's edge.

1C this morning so Spring is fake here too It will be 9C later though!

Spring disappeared today but it was a nice sunny day, just a very cold easterly breeze! Its just a case of adding more layers and getting on with it and I enjoyed a nice 34 mile ride today! The last 9 miles were very enjoyable as I finally had the cold wind behind me! 1,306 miles now covered this year from 29 rides which gives me an average of 45.03 miles!

I opted for a rest day yesterday, my legs were a little tired after covering 84 miles the previous 2 days! Back in the saddle today fully refreshed and I enjoyed a lovely sunny 35.5 miles, it really was such a great ride despite the blusterly WSW wind! Surprisingly not many bikes around today but many walkers making the most of the sun and quiet roads, I'm pleased to report they were all very curteous! My Wahoo Elemnt was acting a little strange today, the altimeter seemed to be reading almost 300ft below what it should have been...hopefully just a glitch!

It is my observation, @RabH that most of fields and meadows are not fenced in Poland (unless the cattle is fed there). I say that because there was something strange to my eye in your pictures... It was the fences.

There are open fields here also but most have fences, mainly to keep animals penned in!

Another 35 miles today in overcast conditions, the wind changed to an easterly today so I enjoyed the tailwind on my way home this time! I was sure glad to get that cold wind behind me, it felt like winter again at times! Thankfully my Wahoo Elemnt was back to normal today, no idea why it was reading so low yesterday!

I decided to try a morning ride today despite the colder conditions and it paid off as it was very quiet, I only came across a handful of walkers this time and only a few cyclists! I'm now at 293 miles for this month and its only just passed the half way point, if the weather holds up I might challenge last months 571 miles

Nice Pics RabH! I'm glad to see others who are able to ride. Do you ride from home or transport your bike? Here where I live, people carrying bikes on their vehicles are being stopped and fined for violating the driving ban.

The wind here is forecast to over 8 m/s, @RabH, and we are getting yellow alerts about the gales. Not riding. Enough is enough!

I ride from home mostly, I have taken my bike in the car a few times in the past but with the current lockdown it will be rides from home only!

Another morning ride today, just over 34 sunny but chilly miles in a cold and sometimes gusty easterly wind! I stayed very local today and did a double loop of one of my favourite local circuits which is perfect in an easterly wind, its a pretty hilly circuit so I got a good workout with just under 3,300ft climbed!

Yesterday our lockdown was extended for another 3 weeks so there will be many more rides to come if the weather holds out, I can't believe how lucky I have been weather wise since the lockdown commenced! I would prefer to be at work of course and be rid of this awful virus!

My 2020 total now stands at 1,411 miles from 32 rides which gives me an average of 44.09 miles! Today I completed my 150th e bike ride and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every mile of the 8,237 I have completed in just over 2 years, this means my overall average is 54.91 miles!

Good thing these haven’t been used for a very long time. I wouldn’t ride next to in service tracks. Sorry to read about your friend.
