Happy Spring! Spring means daffodils, warmer temperatures, and longer days, which means I am running more errands on my ebike, leaving my car in the garage! Last weekend, haircuts. Yesterday, a ride to the computer repair store to pick up my son's fixed laptop, during rush hour, an errand that would have taken an hour and a half in a car, but took 45 minutes on my ebike. Today, three baskets of groceries--one bag in each side basket, and one in the front basket.

Let's inspire everyone on this thread with photos of our ebikes doing car-replacement work: schlepping groceries! I have old photos but not a new one, so I'll take a fresh one on my next ebike shopping trip!

Running errands with an ebike, or a conventional bike for that matter, is certainly eco friendly. These folks are truly in the spirit!

Still new to e-bikes, but the wife and I made our first joint ride to the grocery store yesterday a little over two miles away, all on a hike & bike pathway. Her normal speed is 8-10 mph with PAS turned off and just uses the throttle for an occasional boost. About halfway there, I noticed she had stopped. I went back and she asked “Where is the key?”. I told her it was in the battery.... and looked down at her bike, back at the fish camp. I cranked up the PAS and hotfooted it back to get her battery. When I caught up with her, she was locking her bike at the bike stand at the store. I’m thinking her cheap Chinese bike may last a lot longer than most.

The short trip was fun and successful. We were pleasantly surprised at how much her panniers could hold and the one on top of my rear rack was just big enough.

Omg talk about loading a bike! Imagine seeing that in the U.S. I like the couch and the vases, although I’m thinking the couch carrier might be a motorcycle.

It is a Rixen and Kaul Alumino basket. It attaches on the same adapter as the Ortlieb handlebar bags. I also have a Rixen and Kaul backpack that fits onto the same adapter making it a multifunctional carrier. In the USA Rixen and Kaul is sold by Velo Fred. The basket link is here.
