I have a 2019 CCX with a rim flat spot on the rear wheel. The LBS says it needs a new rim and they would do the swap. Has anybody swapped out their rim(s) and what manufacturer / model did you purchase. I have the stock tires which are Schwalbe Marathon Plus 47 - 622 / 28x1.75 with 36 spokes. I have the specs off the the juiced website and the closest rim I can find is the DT Swiss 545D. Any recommendations??

Not sure about the spokes, I replaced the entire front wheel on my ccx after a crash. Hub, spokes and rim. DT Swiss TK 540 fits the original tire very well. I had to drill it out to fit the shrader valve though.

I have the DT Swiss rim too, and DT Swiss spokes.

I went with the 14 gauge, I was tired of breaking the 13 gauge sapim spokes.

Interestingly enough, my 14 gauge is a lot more durable, apparently it has something to do with the "flex" that provides with 14 gauge spoke that make it more durable. Rigidity (13 gauge) does not equal to strength.

I still don't get the engineering aspect of why 14 gauge is actually stronger, because if you look at the motorcycles or dirt bikes, their spokes are a lot thicker.

But the fact is, my 14 gauge spokes have been serving me a lot better.
I purchased the DT Swiss 545D 622x21 36 spokes and had the LBS mount it. All went well with the change a I would highly recommend this rim to anyone looking to replace a CCX rim. Juiced did not have any inventory on a replacement rim.
