Hello all friends, this is Jenny from Shanghai Aijiu Energy Tech, and I am new to the forum. Thanks for your time reading the post.

As a 13-year experienced manufacturer of lithium ion battery packs, we have our battery exported all around the world with good feedback. All batteries we sold come with one year warranty.

It is known that Reention Dorado series battery is a popular type used on most electric bikes. There are Dorado Mini, Pro,Plus,Max case for 18650 cells pack, and they are interchangeable as long as the down tube is same long, 505L or 440L. (The battery length correspond as about 18inch or15.5inch.)

For 505L, Dorado Max can do 48V 21Ah/36V 28Ah by Samsung 35E 18650 as maximum option

For 440L, Dorado Plus can do 48V 14Ah while Dorado Max do 36V 21Ah while by Samsung 35E 18650 as maximum option

With the cells manufacturer development of technology, the 21700 type cells are becoming the new trend. The 18650 cells in small energy density such as 2200mAh, 2600mAh,2900mAh, will gradually be discontinued.

Thus recently Reention released their new design case for 21700 cells pack.(Sample had been released now, but order is only available in the end of May.)

For 505L, Dorado 21700 can do 48V 25Ah/36V 30Ah by Samsung 50E 21700 as maximum option

For 440L, Dorado 21700 can do 48V 20Ah/36V 25Ah by Samsung 50E 21700 as maximum option

Awesome info! Thanks!
Thanks for your comments! Will keep updating more details about the ebike battery.

How to measure and confirm that your Dorado battery belongs to 505L or 440L down tube?

Solution A: Pls take off the battery and measure the longest part.
18inch length belongs to 505L while 15.5inch belongs to 440L.

Solution B: Pls measure the total length of the battery including the top&bottom brackets.
20inch(equal to 505mm) length belongs 505L, and 17.5inch(equal to 440mm) belongs to 440L.

I am making arrangements with them to get one of these batteries. I am looking forward to the range I'll get with 25ah on my Moscow+. I'll post a review when it arrives.
Thank you so much for your trust. Will push the order shipped at the beginning of June. And will update you with some pictures and test data when battery finished.

@Jenny Mao

How long does the shipping take to Canada and how much is it?
Hello, thank you for asking! :)
The shipping time is usually about 15days by UPS to door, with custom tax included. The DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) shipping cost is varying on the parcel weight, usually USD100-200.
Attached is a shipping label by UPS to Canada, taking about 14days delivered.

The battery as dangerous goods, the shipping is mpre difficult than others. The shipping agent will carry the parcel first to Canada.
Only after the parcel arrives in Canada and is released by custom, you will track the specific delivery notes.

For the battery price, we need confirm more details with you, hope you can send me an email, thanks!

How to confirm and choose the correct discharging and charging port?

The discharging connector on brackets are divided into three kinds, 2pin,5pin,and 6pin, while 2pin is mostly used.
The coresponding port on battery are 2pin(or 5holes/2pin),5pin and 6pin.

The DC2.1 is mostly used for charging port as coming with original battery, whose rated current is 3Amp, meaning the max 3Amp current is allowed by it.
When you take a upgraded capacity battery, a upgraded charger is also necessary, or the charging time will be extended.
The Reention patented 3pin charging port allows max 10Amp current.

But if you want to keep using the old charger for new upgraded battery, DC2.1 charging port will be only choice.

I've been in touch with Jenny and she walked me though checking space and what connectors can be ordered.

Just to help any NCM or Amego owners, I can confirm that for my NCM Moscow+ there is ample room above the stock 16ah battery for the larger battery pack. Likewise my son's Amego Elevate there is also ample room.
My NCM Moscow and Amego Elevate also use the 2-pin discharge connector on both bikes and all batteries we have.

Haha, I am so flattered with your guys comments and encouragement. This is my brief self-introduction.
I am Jenny Mao, 28-year old, having a 16 months baby girl.
It is been 7 years since I graudated from college where I majored in English and American Literature.
After 3-year working for garden bags and tools exporting business, I turned to Aijiu Energy Tech, the company now I am working for.

The lithium ion battery as the clean energy now is widely used in industy and our life.
I have resolved many battery solutions for electric bike, electric scooter, solar energy and etc.
And I can't wait to see the testing reports from Mr. Sweet @Bitmugger to prove our quality and service.

Wish all you good day!

Warranty and Quality you might concern!

As a 13-year experienced lithium ion battery manufacturer, we had none accident caused by battery quality issue.
We are more serious about the battery quality than customers.
Each of battery is newly customzied after we agree on the dimension, BMS, connectors and other specific request.
And each of exported battery is tested with a complete cycle of charing and dsicharging before shipment. Thus the real capacity data sheet will be obtained.

We will resend a totally new battery with shipping cost on us if there is a quality issue comes out within the promised one-year warranty.

FYI,attached is a 48V 21AH Dorado max mass production and testing for Magnum ebikes.

How many ah is the 52v version of the new battery
Hello, thank you for asking!

For Dorado 21700 505L(65pcs 21700 cells), max 52V 20AH, 14S4P 56pcs of Samsung 50E 21700 cells, continuous discharging current about 40Amps
For Dorado 21700 440L(52pcs 21700 cells), max 52V 15AH, 14S3P 42pcs of Samsung 50E 21700 cells, continuous discharging current about 30Amps

Please kindly note that the Samsung 50E each cell nominal capacity is 4900mAh(4.9AH), but usually it is counted as 5000mAh(5Ah) for easier counting.
Each single Samsung 50E cell continuous discharge rate 2C(capacity)=2*4.9=9.8Amps, counted as 10Amps, peak discharge rate 3C=3*4.9=14.7Amps, counted as 15Amps.
Thus we can conclude 14S4P 52V 20AH, which can continuously discharge current 40Amps, peak 60Amps.

But the BMS is choosed depending on the motor power. The BMS max allowing current should be 50% higher than continuous discharging current to protect the battery.
For example,
Dorado 21700 505L, 52V 20AH, used for a 1000W rated motor, demanding about 20Amps continuous discharging current, we need choose 30Amps BMS, peak allowing 100±20Amps.
Dorado 21700 505L, 52V 20AH, used for a 1500W rated motor, demanding about 30Amps continuous discharging current,
we need choose 45Amps BMS, peak allowing 135±20Amps.
Dorado 21700 505L, 52V 20AH, used for a 2000W rated motor, demanding about 40Amps continuous discharging current, we need choose 60Amps BMS, peak allowing 180±20Amps.
1000W or 1500W motor are both available for use, but 2000W is not suggested, since the battery has to constantly discharge at its ultimate capabililty, which might shorten the battery lifetime.

Recently some people come to me and ask for the upgrade battery for upgrade 2300W rated motor.
The maxium 52V 20AH is not available for 2000W, much less for 2300W.

Could you pls tell what is the motor power you will use with the 52V Dorado battery? Thanks!

Best Regards
Jenny
