Panasonic XU-1 "Keirin" Edition ebike

It will easily do 50km/h (32mph) but will go up to 60km/h (37mph).
Theoretical top speed is over 80km/h (49mph) if you have strong legs.

You will need Google Translate to read this article.

Really it’s just a concept bike. No new laws are under consideration for higher speeds on the public roadways. Panasonic already makes fantastic e-bikes for the street, including a 2 speed transmission in the mid-motor. They just weigh too much for my liking.

Aren't they using it in the Tokyo Olympics?

Also, check out the second YouTube video.
It says "五輪仕様の電動アシスト自転車 発売 パナソニック(2021年7月30日)"
Which according Google Translate, "Electric assisted bicycle with Olympic specifications released Panasonic (July 30, 2021)"
XU-1 is a regular pedelec Olympic limited edition- just meaning it’s a celebration model. the other bikes have higher specs. XU-1 is just a cheaper version. Marketing.
