Another coastal ride …

Moreton Bay Cycleway

Moreton Bay Cycleway, QLD
I hope that by the time I get back home those clouds will have drifted inland and dumped their load on our garden.

The trees along the water's edge are native casuarinas which have evolved to withstand salty environments.

I was screenshotting the video and as usual its easier to post a bit of the vid.
Macclesfield hills in the snow, a lovely part of England and has britains highest pub, which is all very nice, but its rather stark and uninviting and only visited because of its remote location...as remote as it can get in England.
Anyway it was a great day out...bending the rules, but I was sensible and apart from nearly falling down a stream, it all went to plan.
The mtb trail reminded me that no suspension fatbikes are not built for bumpy singletracks.

England in snow! What a rare sight! I can see your fat tyres handle snow extremely well (but beware of ice!) How do you handle a closed gate when you meet it on your trail?

Yes..it was actually quite warm, I was only wearing jeans and a tshirt under my coat.
Yup...noob, but what can you do, the gulf stream caresses our shores, lots of people in my town have palm trees and not the hardy ones built for the frozen people.
Its all very uncomfortable though and yes I did stretch covid regulations to the limit and I cant tell anyone I went or get the grannykiller look, always using a northern accent when saying hello to the locals.
Never in my life have I felt society so divided and Im truly concerned it has rebirthed a 'local places for local people' mindset that will linger long after the pandemic.
I only chanced the trip because the local SA mutation has died out and it wasnt my town afterall.
Certainly I didnt come nearer to anyone than passing 10ft away outside, an Oxford scientist worked out youd have to walk right past someone 20 thousand times outside to infect them.
Anyway alls well, but my bikes got a cough.
