Bike Friday have announced a new compact cargo model the Ever-E-Day, shorter than BF's long-tail Haul-a-day model, sort of Bike Friday's equivalent to Tern's HSD vs GSD cargo models. Publicity shots show Bike Friday employees riding on the back to illustrate its load carrying capacity. In the comments on the announcement page Bike Friday confirmed the bike is fitted with the TSDZ2 motor they also use for their other mid-drive conversions. The battery pack weight is given as 3lb, BF claim a range of 30 miles, although they also offer a larger 60 mile pack or Grin Tech's airline compliant modular LiGo battery packs. The frame has a telescoping downtube to adjust fit for different height riders, and it can fully break apart to pack down into a suitcase. It is seriously lightweight for a mid-tail cargo ebike starting at 36lb - adding racks would push that up.
