New Bike Day!

Turned 65 in January. Because of the pandemic, I pretty much ignored it. Decided to give myself a birthday present and just picked up a 2021 Turbo Levo Comp today. I've mentioned before in this forum that my rural NH town's LBS are selling any Specialized & Trek bikes that they had in stock before Jan 31, for the old prices. I was going to get the base model Levo, but with the price increase decided to take advantage of this deal and got the 2021 Levo Comp for $6300. It's still a crazy amount of money to spend, but whatever! It's done. I added the Thule rear suspension rack, so I can commute with it sometimes. Now I can't wait for the snow to melt! Cheers!

Awesome. Many (s)miles to you.

Yes, I've got a Vado, which is very much set up for commuting. But there are two reasons that I put the rack on the Levo for occasional bike commuting. With winter conditions, local trails don't open up until May. I've got the mindset of a little kid. I can't wait that long to ride the bike! So I'll ride on the streets occasionally between now and May. The other reason is that there are a number of really fun trails between my home and where I work. If I ride the bike to work, then I'll be able to go "play" on trails as soon as I leave. I know it's not the best thing for the Levo to ride it on the street, but I gotta ride.

This is “Mad Max” (two ebikes!!)! You are making us jealous. What a beauty. Enjoy. Stay safe and ride.
You have a great taste. My dream is to add a Levo to my Vado inventory. Already have “hell no” answer from the BOSS. I will keep hope alive. YOLO!

bonus point great rack..happy birthday. You must have been a very good boy.

Happy Birthday to you Mr. Max!
That’s a fantastic birthday present. Certainly beats the heck out of cake & ice cream. 😄🙂🚴🏾‍♂️
It is not only "he has two e-bikes". Mr. Max has got two premium Specialized Turbo e-bikes! We're all jealous!
Many happy and safe rides!

One of my friends called retirement, his "rewirement." In June, I'm going to take a little vacation and on either the Vado or the Levo do the cross Vermont trail. It's basically a rail trail ride. Nothing gnarly and passes by multiple towns. My plan is to leave from my house. So I'll ride across part of New Hampshire, across Vermont to Lake Champlain and then back again. Should take about 8-9 days I think. I'm excited about figuring out the charging logistics, along with all of the other issues. A new challenge.

Enjoy. Vermont was my ski backyard. Killington, Stratton, stow,....
what a beautiful place.

Guys, I'm jealous. Really jealous ;) Levo Comp has been my Holy Grail but -- because of the lack of availability in May 2020 (and high price, too) -- I had to choose Trance E+ instead. I have never regretted that decision. I'm even scared to think I might ride the Holy Grail :D
Stefan, the Levo Comp's 2.1 motor and three level assist power modes were no match for the Trance’s Yamaha driven power plant and five levels of assist. I was easily able to smoke Kelvin on the uphill climbs at Riverbend. I’ll post a video soon enough of our ride together. :D
