New Bike Day!

Hello,

I myself have a 2021 Levo and 80percent of the time it is used for family leisure biking and commuting. I like the freedom to just go anywhere any terrain if need be.

On that note has anyone have any suggestions for a sturdy kickstand for a Levo? (For convenience with family bike path excursions ONLY)

None I have heard of (I was investigating for myself). It is not that it is not kosher to use a kickstand on an MTB; sturdy kickstands for MTBs are simply not made.

Yeah..it's to bad really. I love my Levo its so balance. We have a Como 4.0 and a Vado Ltd. And are great commuter bikes but the Levo is just a complete bike for me. Maybe its just the way the emtb geometry fits me best as far as comfort and versatility that makes it an all around bike. I do agree when taking to trail and "off road" definitely kickstands are a hazard. However so many people promoting that emtbs are the best all around bikes its a shame there are no kickstands for the leisure and commuting use for it.

I did find some AMS kickstands which I will try out.

Stefan any thoughts on the AMS Kickstands?

Thank you

It won't work. Romeo. These things are designed for lightweight MTBs. When you support your Levo on something like that, the thing will crack on first or second use. I had a similar stand from Topeak and it died almost instantly.

Unless the AMS kickstand is made of durable metal, which I doubt...

I just ordered it lol, I should get it with in a few days and I will let you kniwbif it works.

The Topeak has the pole looking things as support so I have no doubt that it will not stand the Levos weight. I looked at the AMS stand and some reviews claim it works on their ebike..

I will follow up.

Here are rigs.

Wife's 21 Como 4.0 LowStep with a PakRak rack.

My 21 Levo
Family bike path settings:
Front suspension set up at 170 psi (I weight 178 plus my 1 year old and gear around 217lbs.)
Rear suspension maxed out at I believe 225 psi with rebound of -5 click.)
Burley Dash FM child seat
DELTA XL cell phone holder for my note9 plus its case.

Our Daughters Riprocket and we tow her using the TowWee.

Anyways, my levo set up is so much comfortable for me and my son versus my Vado4.0Ltd. Which is getting sold today with only 200miles.

So just got the Ams Kickstand. Fits like a charm...when for a two hour ride and so far so good. Definitely not as strong or a sense of confidence as to what we have on our Vado and Como but its better than nothing.
