YeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaa, I was just emailed a Shipping Notice from Ride1Up that my 2 700's should be delivered on the 27Jul20.
Estimated delivery date: Monday 7/27/2020 by end of day.
I emailed my Mechanic and he's coming to assemble them on the 28th, and put my Tannus Armours in all 4 tires.
Hot Damn Turn-Around! Yeah, in my 'younger years' I used to get Excited.......Har har
Git Ready, I will be Posting Pictures.........

I could make jokes about how much time you have left at your age...but I like you way too much to do that. Har Har.

I'm close to finishing my new bike build and waiting on a $2 part (rear hub motor spacer I discovered is required in my DIY build) so I'm stuck waiting just like you bud.

Hoping you might figure out how to grab a short video and link it/upload it here showing all of us your pups being pulled in the trailers (when that time comes) and how hard you're pedaling to keep the wheels a turning.

For someone waiting for my bike. Could you tell me what the original shipping date was compared to the date it's coming? I'm hoping somehow they get caught up and I don't have to wait so long.

I was wondering how long ago you ordered them. I ordered one yesterday with estimated shipping September 15th. Seems like a really long time at this point

I think that shipping date is about right, maybe add a week or so until you get it from them. Ordered bike from them mid may, originally scheduled for delivery in June. Received it in July.

Well 'Shet Fuzzies', the Tracking Number was just for one of my bikes (Mine) so now we are waiting on my wife's to arrive, and we have a tentative arrival date of 4Aug20.
My 'Mobile Mechanic' comes here in a bit to assemble mine, and the Pups are Excited (NOT)......... They say they are not going unless I buy them helmets..............

I don't know if they Positively require it to be done by a professional mechanic, in fact, I highly doubt this, but I just want it done right, and my mobile mechanic satisfies all of the warranty requirements, so heck, I decided to let him do it all. Then, of course he will come back to assemble my wife's, when hers arrives around the 4th of August.

No, they do require it, and they also require "proof".

Of course, by proof, I think they just mean a copy of the receipt. I suppose that's not absolute proof since someone could falsify a fake receipt, but if they were to check with the mechanic/shop, you could be SOL when you want warranty service.

In one of these Ride1up threads, someone stated that Ride1up had even recommended a mobile bike machinic - Velotooler.

I'm one of those blockheads who feels like if I want it done right I do it myself. in my experience many mechanics never use the torque wrench because they think they can just feel the right tightness. I'm not saying they won't do it right I just like doing things myself. I ordered mine a week ago, hopefully it won't take as long

cldhld, I Admire the heck out of you and wish I had the capabilities to do what you can do, but running my own ranch takes so dang much of my time, I just don't any available time left to work on a bike, even if I knew how , which I don't. Because I was always so strong, I would break at least two head-bolts removing the heads of my Flathead V-8's back in the 50's (in order to put pennies in the heat-risers, to make my Smithy Mufflers louder), my Dad insisted that I have a professional mechanic do all of my mechanical work, because that was a lot less expensive than having a mechanic 'drill out the broken bolt, then 'tap' the threads for a new one'. So, I lost all incentive to work on my own stuff. After getting 'on my own' and still having to pay mechanics to still 'Drill and Tap', whenever I would 'snap' a bolt off, I just quit.
But, I would like to ask you a question: After getting my Ride1Up 700 completed yesterday, my mechanic rode it, and then I rode it. As Soon as he left (Of Course) I was going to ride it again, and I could get Nothing At All out of the motor, I had to Peddle it to my barn and back. I had it 'On', and up to the #5, and the 'Throttle' did Absolutely Nothing. I have emailed Ride1Up, but I believe they are Overwhelmed with orders and Short-Handed, so I don't know If I will Ever hear back from them, and I Certainly would like to ride my new bike. If you could give me some advise, it would Really Be Appreciated. My Mechanic is coming back on 6Aug20 to assemble my wife's bike which is scheduled to hit here on the 4th, and I imagine could figure it out, but I would like to ride it before then.......... Thanks,

I wish I could give you some advice but I am entirely new to electric bikes. I rewired my entire house but I don't think that applies too much. The only thing I could think of is, besides the obvious battery being drained, is there is a wiring harness not connected. I'm sure there will be plenty out here it will have better advice than that. Once I get my hands on mine I might have better insight but that's going to be almost 2 months and I'm sure you don't have that level of patience....... Do you think you could get ahold of the mechanic? I mean he just assembled it so maybe he would have some insight or shoot back out to take a look at it?

Oh cldlhd, I waited two+ months for mine (Ordered on 23May, Rcvd on 27Jul), chewing nails ever half-hour it seemed.
Yes, I have called him and this Ride1Up was the first he had ever 'worked on' and he said he would research it, to see what the problem might be.
When I received it, my battery was 90%, and of course I had the switch on, so that narrows the choice a bit..........
Believe it or not, it wasn't too hard to peddle and my barn is at a slight incline from my house (where I let him assemble it in my Living Room, so he would have A/C). Guess I'm git'n 'Tender Hearted' in my elder years....... harhar
Oh well, I'll just wait on Ride1Up to get back to me on it, before I Take A Wrench To It..........Har har har... Have a Great one.
