Good suggestions. Yamaha techs like at a motorcycle shop?

No, for the yamaha sync-drive electric motor. A motorcycle shop has never seen one of those, nor likely even knows they exist. LOL

I just did a quick search on ebay for 'giant ebike motor' and there are lots for sale - you just gotta find one compatible. They're in the four to six hundred dollar range:

EDIT: and $700 for a new one isn't horrible, considering the price of a new bike.

Thanks! I saw that as well. Problem is the battery is also degrading (now charging only to about 85%). New battery looks like $800? So now we’re creeping into new bike territory…

Something is very wrong here. A degraded battery will always charge to 100%, only its internal charge becomes smaller and smaller. Your e-bike is too young to have a degraded battery.
Take my advice: Ride the e-bike until the charge drops to 20%. Recharge and tell me what the charge level was achieved.

Hi! How to remove servising message on my Explore e+2 GTS, the last time I reset myself last 2000km, but I don't remember through which program, through RideControl somehow it doesn't work.

I think this is a dealer only function but correct me if I'm wrong. Mine goes away if I ignore it long enough, it's just a suggestion after all.

If it's triggering an OCD episode take it to the dealer and get them to extend the duration before it appears.

I remembered, distance since last service reset when i updated my RideControl Charge display with RideControl app, but now it doesn't work.
I think it is possible to do factory reset RideControl Charge display, then update to latest version, who will tell how it can be done

Hi
I wonder if replacing the controller with this one will solve the error f 4? (Giant RideControl Ergo (SG System - NOTE smaller connector) 245-FLRMSP-01 410000141)

Issue like in this video:
youtube.com/watch?v=YVfpS6SBhwY
The error appeared when I tried to drive up steep slopes. There may have been a short-term engine overload.

I have not yet updated the firmware of the bike (phone in flight mode, just connect to bike).
After turning on the bike, an error flashes on the controller. The controller cannot be turned off unless the battery is removed, or it will turn off itself after 10..15 minutes. It also does not respond to pressing any buttons. And the assistant (motor) does not turn on.

Trance X E+ Pro 29 2 (2021) with RideControl Ergo and ANT+

I would be grateful for any help

I'd take a chance at trying an update with the app (make sure the app is up to date first).
Somehow I doubt that the update will work in this condition but I'd try it for sure.

A couple of days ago I removed the engine, trying to find out if there was moisture on the wires. I reconnected all the wires, checked all the connections.
Probably in the near future I will ring all the wiring with a multimeter for breaks and non-contacts.
If it does not help, then I will try to update the software through the application.

This link is showing listing for used motors not new ones. In most cases the used motors aren't really worth it.

That would depend on how many hours on it, don't you think?
You're replacing a blown motor?

I have two of these, and although they don't have many hours on them they've been flawless. My first one is a 2019 - still maintains 95% of battery capacity.

Today I risked updating the system. The error disappeared after updating through the Giant application. This is the best New Year's gift for me)))
It is noteworthy that the update was launched the first time for 30 seconds, after which ride control turned off. I turned on the bike again and entered the application again, the message that it will update again appeared. After three minutes of the second firmware, the bike turned off again, and after I turned it on, there were no more errors.

Glad you got good ones:). The reason I think the use ones aren't worth it they aren't much cheaper you can't verify their condition and no warranty. To much of a gamble. Again glad you got go ones just my opinion there is to much risk that you get bad ones and then your out the money.
