Another thought is to set the throttle to By Displays Command. This will give you 9 different maximum throttle outputs (matching PAS) and you can just hold it wide open instead of trying to vary rotation.
Yeah, I did that.
I had my first throttle gear set at like 5%, then 7% then 12% then fiddy percent.
There's no need to start off at 59% and go up from there.
2%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 35%, 55%, 75%, 100%,...
Something like that for your ramp up powers and currents.
I already had my "PAS modes" set up to ramp up slowly.
I don't remember the values, but it wasn't 50% power at PAS Level ONE !!
Then 75% for Two.
85% for Three
95% for Four.
97% for Live.
Then, ALL The way up to 100% for 9th gear.
First Gear Should Be First Gear, With Like two or three percent power.
Next gear five percent.
Next 10%
Then 20%
Then 35%
Then 50%
Then 75%
Then 85%
Then 110%
Ramping the power up gently, helps to reduce waste, and helps to reduce the retardation effect of stupid people trying to do stupid things.
