Hot weather considerations

Still researching commuter type ebikes and this occurred to me: We live in the Sierra foothills where summer temperatures are typically in the mid 90s to low 100s. Aside from human discomfort, are there mechanical/electrical things to consider in these temps?

Thanks in advance. I'm enjoying the discussions on these forums.

Battery storage in high heat and battery life impacts are an issue.

Once my shop starts reaching >95f for more than 4 hrs I'll be moving my batteries inside.
