Have you guys ever damaged your cadence sensor when your chain fell off?

Happened to this guy.
I was wondering if this is common.. Juiced bikes' cadence sensor is located near cassette, but I know many ebike's cadence sensor is located on crankset.

Pretty commonly ordered replacement part on many bikes. Both Bafang and other crank sensors can be a common problem.
If I had only one eBike, my only personal transportation, I'd have several spares. Throttle, speed/pas sensor, cheap display for testing, a spoke magnet if used, and a multimeter. With a gear drive motor, it's worth owning a replacement as they're pretty cheap. Juice hasn't the inside line!
