Great to see so many well known motorcycle companies getting onto the E-bike wagon. Love the look and design of this one as well as others offered by these mfgs. Looks like pricing may be way up there along with the Orange Alpine(UK) and the Pivot Shuttle E-bikes. Wouldn't be surprised.

I would be much more impressed if it had a Ducati designed and built motor. As it is, it is nothing more than a bike using the name to sell stuff.

Honda used to make ebike but not anymore
Oh wow, I did not see the Honda version. Does not seem like a lot of these are making it over to the USA. Bummer. Okay, who's next...

Honda was building ebikes decades ago but not anymore...
They were popular in Japan and Asian countries, and I heard they sold some to Europe but never been available in USA/Canada due to zero market demand for ebikes.

I ride a Ducati Multistrada (in addition to my Haibike Urban Plus). It is 'point and shoot', very balanced and agile. Ducati knows suspension! If they bring this to ebikes, it would be worth a look.

Yes, I am aware of the Multistrada concept. My reference to “road” version was in regards to a drop bar type bike that meets the criteria for the multiple transformations described.
The reason I know this is possible is because although I have both flat and drop bar eBikes the drop bar bike is the most versatile of the two and the one I grab for every day use which in my case can encompass everything from single track to store runs.
That is not saying that drop bar type bikes are the best for all with interest in eBikes but as more and more long time cyclists transition to eBikes they will be looking into options in that category. The rising popularity of that genre being marketed by manufacturers currently supports this I feel.
The reason I know this is possible is because although I have both flat and drop bar eBikes the drop bar bike is the most versatile of the two and the one I grab for every day use which in my case can encompass everything from single track to store runs.

The latest is a set of three new Ducati electric bicycles that were just unveiled at a Ducati event in Italy.
Ducati is no stranger to electric bikes. But these aren’t your standard sub $1,000 intro-level e-bikes we’re talking about here. These are premium-level vehicles.
I was fortunate enough to be in attendance when the company showed off its MIG-RR electric mountain bike at the EICMA Milan Motorcycle Show last year. The MIG-RR helped the company get its foot in the door of the premium electric bicycle market. Now Ducati’s most recent announcement has added three new premium electric bicycles to the company’s lineup. These new Ducati electric bicycles are intended for both on and off-road use and feature Shimano mid-drive motor systems.
The first is the Ducati MIG-RR Limited Edition, of which only 50 units will be produced. The bikes will be assembled in Italy and feature premium Ohlins suspension, carbon wheel rims, electronic shifting and will include special Ducati Corse graphics, designed by Aldo Drudi’s D-Perf.
Next up in the line comes the Ducati MIG-S, which is a more standard electric mountain bike. Without the motorcycle-level suspension and the electronic shifting found on the MIG-RR Limited Edition, the MIG-S is likely to be more reasonably priced.
The final Ducati electric bicycle in the unveiling is the Ducati e-Scrambler, which the company describes as a trekking bike. It will feature high-end components and should feel at home both on city streets or country roads, according to Ducati.
But if you thought that Ducati was designing and building these electric bikes from the ground up, think again. The Ducati electric bicycles are being produced as part of a partnership with Thok E-bikes, with Ducati lending its legendary design credentials to Thok’s experience in e-bike design.
When reading the specs on the Scrambler I find it a little funny the only pieces with Ducati brand are the seat and the grips...an old joke one ends with “grab your as and kiss it good bye” , you could do that with these specialized parts in some way lol

Sorry but I am not impressed with this bike at all.
It's just a Shimano STEPs powered eMTB, what's so different about this Ducati eMTB compare to Haibike, Trek or Giant eMTB?
I was expecting Ducati to beat something like Haibike Flyon.
Ducati is world's renown motorcycle manufacture, producing bikes like Panigale and Multistrada.
I'd expect Ducati Desmodromic Derailleur, Electronic Quick Shifter, Skyhook Electronic Semi-Active Susension, 3 Level Cornering ABS, Ride Mode Selector, etc. (Just some examples)
I agree it would be nice to see more innovative features and suspect this is just the start for Ducati...

The Ducati MIG-RR, which will make its public debut on the Ducati stand at EICMA 2018 (Fiera Milano Rho, 8-11 November), is a true high-end e-mtb developed by Thok Ebikes specialists in close collaboration with Aldo Drudi’s D-Perf and the Ducati Design Center.
While the new Ducati e-mtb is an offshoot of the popular MIG series produced by Thok, it features some unique technical solutions: wheels with different diameters and suspension set- ups with different degrees of wheel travel (29″ and 170 mm at the front, 27.5″ and 160 mm at the rear) make it a true enduro that meets the needs of even the most demanding rider.
With high-level components such as FOX Factory Kashima suspension, carbon fibre Renthal handlebars, Mavic wheels, 4-caliper Shimano Saint brakes and an 11-speed Shimano XT gear set, the MIG-RR features a Shimano Steps E8000 motor – which puts out 250 Watts with a torque of 70N – powered by a 504 Wh battery.
The battery is positioned underneath the down tube. The resulting low barycentre makes the Ducati MIG-RR an easy-to-ride yet precise bike even on the toughest terrain.
