Hi there!
New member Gh3rra checking in from southern Italy. Been lurking for a while and finally decided to join the community!

Quick intro:
  • Location: Naples, Italy
  • Rider stats: 173cm, intermediate level
  • Background: Few years on traditional hardtail, ready to go electric
  • Goal: First full-suspension e-MTB for trail riding

What brings me here:The transition from analog to e-MTB feels like entering a whole new world. Hoping to tap into the collective wisdom here before making the leap. Plan to contribute back once I gain some e-bike experience!

Looking forward to the discussions and learning from you all.

Welcome to the world of ebikes!

Please post some picks of your favorite riding area once you purchase your ebike.

The wife and I were able to rent ebikes to ride alone or do guided city tours on vacations before we purchased. That really helped narrow down our choices back then. Seems like there are +100X more choices and combinations compare to 10 year ago; which, does make a final decision even harder.

See if you can demo a Levo. Shops will often deduct/credit the day rental price from the purchase of a bike. These bikes can also be incrementally upgraded with custom White Industries hubs and Santa Cruz carbon wheels, with wireless shifting... They do a good job for off-the-rack. Now a custom tailored bike is like a suit handmade just for you in Milan, that is a different order. Off-the-rack is fine for most. You will be fine with many vulgaris commercial options. Such as a Levo.

Weren't you just calling motor torque specs "marketing"? 😅
Any e-bike manufacturer lies about the motor torque. Specialized has given each motor Max Mechanical Power and Assist factor. Now, show me the Bosch official data for your e-bike motor :) Is your Cannondale warranty transferable? A lifetime frame warranty? :) Specialized has totally rebuilt my 2017 Vado 5.0 into a 2019 Vado 6.0 in 2023 free of charge as the lifetime frame warranty :) Would Cannondale do the same? Has Bosch ever extended its 2-year motor warranty to 4 years as Specialized once did for all Levos? :)

By the way... Does your Bosch e-bike connect to Garmin or Wahoo? :D Can you tune your motor assistance in 10% increments as you ride using a handlebar remote? :)
