Dual motor; full suspension; semi-recumbent MeetOneTrike with 180nm torque @ 25 mph

....I'll take the above one step further to offer that you should probably have more than a grade school shop class education as offered earlier given that very few kids nowadays even ride bikes/trikes let alone work on them. Ditto for cars given the current lack of interest in driving same that has also apparently been sucked from the American spirit.
One (exclusive?) benefit of the Tour that should have been mentioned in Post#67 is the torque available with two motors. I'm not sure what these newer single motors are producing in terms of torque or if the Tour could even handle anywhere near the same amount if outfitted without modifications...but torque is a big deal at over 200# dry and a 550# claimed capacity. I would even go so far as to say that if you're looking at the 'lite' version and loading it to the latter limits(?) stick to hauling your stuff around a farm market or spring for the original version. That the original Tour is getting away with one motor at the lower PAS levels is a miracle in and of itself yet I seem to remember that the YouTuber's version had only three levels.
At any rate, if we get these things a month from now and everything holds up, this will be a nice workhorse trike.
I'm still debating on the following spare part and don't know enough about how the rear motor drives/engages..yet what is anyone's opinion on the normal wear rate of these front hubs and/or the obvious?
https://meetonetrike.com/products/meet-one-hub to order

,I could see this trike having heirloom quality if the structure holds up,
Even though $3200 is a lot of money for a frame only; it is basically the #1 reason that I purchased the Tour. Everything else can be sourced easily elsewhere. It's all about making it your own.
Another example of sturdy 3 wheel "trucks" are the Asian "chuck-chucks" its a good concept even now there is a promising 3 wheeler in production (or near) called the "arcimotor" some models have basically unlimited range, the future is bright
They have perfected the 3 wheeler over there no doubt. Saying that, very few of these 'new' trikes (especially the enclosed) seem to either make it over here or sell. I'm guessing that the current economy will exacerbate that reality. I'll probably use a trailer of some sort if I veer off in the direction of hauling cargo. I just picked up Gorilla's 1400# yard cart w/15" tires which is basic but nice and easy to pull. The Tour probably pulls effectively with no problems and those three 180mm hydraulic brakes will certainly help control it.
Here's the cart that I have now:

We have a guy in our area who pulls a little trailer from Wal-Mart behind a bicycle with the following on the trailer:
Push mower.
Banana shaft string trimmer.
Hand gas blower.
One gallon gas can.
Holds it all down with straps and a cable lock to reduce theft.
During the summer I see this guy all around the surrounding area mowing grass. I need to get a picture of his set-up. So your'e asking "Why is this ghetto lawn care company of interest to me?", trailers behind bikes make them little pick-up trucks! JackRabbit ebikes sells a nice trailer (Earth+Kin MULE) I've been tempted to purchase. It can work on the JackRabbit and my Xpedition. But seeing this much more affordable Wal-Mart trailer survive multiple summers being overloaded I might experiment with one of them first.

Oh, what is the status on the trike arriving? Every time you update this post I assume it has arrived.

Yeah I agree in terms of these new electric motors opening up possibilities for entrepreneurs who don't see the need to spend thousands on a vehicle/insurance when their scope/service area doesn't match the cash outlay/risk. 180 Nm of torque likely expands these possibilities in terms of an etrike/trailer yet we'll have to see.
They've been saying the end of January for delivery and have not changed that time frame. All of my correspondence with them to date has been both positive and timely in terms of the professionalism exhibited...and I'm kind of hard to please being an old Scot. ;)
Although if it makes it here and we are even slightly disappointed(?)...I'll still likely be happy given what I've witnessed to date.

Here's the closest shot of the optional seat that I have been able to find. I'm a fan of the long seat (you rarely see it) for those who likely won't use the pedals anyways

With so much made of what these bikes are 'classified' as for so long; it's nice to see an etrike which can limit its top speed at the push of a button An even lower speed setting would be nice as well.

https://www.facebook.com/?ref=homescreenpwatch trying to get the link for these trikes ignore this I see you already have this, that being said "caveat emptor" was reading all the info I could find and this smacks of a scam hope its is not these trikes have a lot of content for the price keeps us posted when you get yours
Yeah, and as I have offered previously in this thread at least twice...don't do as I do unless you can afford to gamble.
Also keep in mind that I won't know anything myself for another month or better.
The only source for hands on/current information seems to be this guy on YouTube. Since I don't do social media at all; it would be nice if someone here would keep in touch with that guy/keep us all updated in exchange for anything that I might provide upon receipt. Not much to ask (imho) given all that has been shared to date/time spent for 5 pages now.
Let's just make it a deal as I have been obviously looking to get something for myself out of taking on all challengers here for weeks now:
When someone hooks up with this guy or anyone else that has information regarding MetOne's upcoming Tour delivery and shares here...I promise to do the same when mine comes in (if it ever does).
if you don't hear from me(?)
Well then you know what happened.

Im pretty sure your trike will show up. What's happening is you're eagerly awaiting it and checking the routing schedule constantly is making you antsy. I hate when I see a item I ordered getting close and then, with no warning, go AWAY from my mailing address. But I don't think you ordered from a "mystery company" who's gonna run off with your money. Keep us posted though!

I have full faith in MeetOne given the emailed interactions that I have had with them to date.
What I would ideally like to do is trade any after-delivery review for someone diving deeper 'content-wise' in to the Tour's existence anywhere else on the planet save for what but one guy on YouTube (thankfully) produces...which I simply regurgitate here.
As I once heard someone say:
"..I'm easy but I aint cheap.." ;)

...nobody looking for an unboxing/ride/immediate mod(?) review on this one who has a social media/YouTube account or who is willing to do a little more research on any existing Tours out there before the end of January?
Seemed like a fair trade to me...yet perhaps not. (if these next Tours don't end up in the hands of those willing to share any more than but that one guy in FL. presently....). 🤔

Thanks for that. All that I needed. Wasn't ever going to hold back a review...yet...I needed something...anything... ;)
We're just starting to freeze in here and I'm so pumped to try this Tour that winter will doubtfully stop me.

It looks like the next batch of Tours (not sure about the others) are scheduled for Feb. 5-10th on the website. https://meetonetrike.com/products/tour-dual-motor-dual-battery-e-trike
It appears that they are being realistic in terms of future deliveries which is always a good sign in terms of who they are as a company (at least that is what we always did with our customers). Under promise/over deliver would be my motto if I were in the unenviable position of shipping anything across the ocean.
I think(?) that they just offered an extra $50 off of the sale price which really doesn't surprise in this economy. Still a good chunk of cash comparative to (?)...yet as we've come to find in this thread...we're (still) not having anyone come forward with any true comparisons (advantage MeetOne).
One topic that hasn't been discussed in my research is any speculation regarding the motor manufacturer. Not sure how the front hub shaft ended up on on their initial parts list either yet I am waiting for delivery to order both it and possibly other parts once I give it the once over.

I still have confidence in my ability to ride my old/like new 2 wheel EMTB with larger tires yet it really came down to two factors:
1) Replacing the battery was ridiculously expensive
2) I don't heal up quick like I used to and a semi-recumbent hurts less in terms of distance fallen (or at least that's my theory due to the realities of the former).

My fantasy would be to get off the plane at Jackson Hole with a few of these Tours/trailers/gear and more than a few spare batteries waiting for us.
When we were there a year or so ago, I was impressed with the nice paved/gravel system that they had in the shadows of the Tetons leading to some really nice lakes and other areas due to I'm assuming the massive amount of property taxes collected. Stupidly expensive everywhere you went yet I'm not sure that there's any place like it here in the U.S. when everything's added up.

"Millions were made with this fat tire and LOW center of gravity design... @$600 " and then banned (?) by the consumer products safety division - whatever that means today.
"You'll run over your foot RickyBobby !"

Those ATCs would be selling like hotcakes in 2025 given the state of the current economy, what their price would be today (as was) and the amount of work that they are capable of given the latter. the MeetOne Tour fills a similar niche: A better built electric 3 wheeler with comfort, torque, range, cargo capabilities and better yet...the ability to go so many more places in 2025 that all gasoline driven machines cannot.

I remember those ATC 3-wheelers. I recall most tip-overs and running your leg over was from people not knowing how to properly ride one. Young kids and adults with no business being on a ATC. NO ONE ever read the owners manual and the adults would get a few beers in 'em and go show off. The MeetOne will never go as fast as one of those ATC's and I'm pretty sure Dash isn't gonna skip reading the owners manual, hop on it after a few beers to show off or let kids ride it. The MeetOne should do everything Dash ask of it when it arrives without trying to kill him.

I got my butt drug around by a Yamaha YTZ250 as a youngster. I actually learned clutch and foot gear on one! I recall it having a thumb throttle as well. Scary stupid fast off the line! Instant wheelies were extra fun because it would "rock" side to side before flying off in a random direction, usually towards a tree of ditch filled with water if you didn't fall off the back first! I've hated ACT's till this day.

I can remember MeetOne advising that the Tour's optional seat wasn't for everyone.
For throttle only(?)...yeah I'm not sure what you'll look like or how you'll come across in whatever whacked out position of comfort that you might come up with..yet who cares..you obviously turned in your man card back in January of '25. ;)
I ordered it and am excited now to see it close up. First one that I know of to feature a seat that long for thigh comfort and a reclining backrest (you would have to fab up your own headrest if desired). The long seat makes even more padding on the backside easily possible. I'm guessing that strengthening up the arm rests is possible. Not sure if you could push back the seat any farther to better accommodate longer frames due to the current pedal positioning. I like the positioning options and the fact that it is a decent-sized seat that looks fairly comfortable.

...the other thing that I just can't get over..and I caught flak with this when I admittedly went on and on regarding the Addmotor Soletri/Herotri being groundbreaking in the same manner with dual suspension also included..is the HUGE ''DIY ready' heavy duty/pre-reinforced seat area/building platform that MeetOne seems to be just begging us to build from here.
I'll just say it:
If you can't figure out a safe/comfortable seating and/or cargo solution to fit your needs here(?)...you probably should have elected for a few more shop classes in High School or made more fiends.
Just a great low slung HD frame not(?) witnessed previous with other standout features included for under $3200 delivered.

"..I want a comfortable seat, however I wish to be able to pedal comfortably as well (the exercise thing).."

My goal as well and I think achievable with a little work.
We all owe a bit of a debt of gratitude to that YouTube guy above for illustrating the bare seat/cargo bed area in relation to our own sizes/challenges and even the optional seat in terms of achievable comfort/possible DIY improvements involving same.
I could clearly see the seat angle(s) that I would/could be working with along with even the need to move the pedals (wherever) to achieve any recumbency(sic?) style that I might find to be the most comfortable with a little work.
It all just seems like a blank canvass to me with a 550# weight rating, a somewhat easily extendable frame and again all that empty (well supported) space for dreaming up whatever to ride/haul in comfort.

Seat discussions can get pretty deep, and I'm not talking cushion. Then what type of ebike will it be installed on complicates it further. With the semi-recumbent/feet forward you should have a bit more options I would think. My old Rans Fusion had this nice wide seat that was booty heaven. Curious to see what you end up doing seat wise.
