Does this bike exist?

I recently ordered a R&M Delite GX, for my upcoming solar assisted trip across the US, only to find out the Bosch BMS will not allow DC to DC charging.
I can still cancel my order, if I can find a bike that meets my criteria. Otherwise, I'll have to go without the solar trailer :-(

Does this bike exist?:

Mid-drive motor
Dual suspension
Dual 500 W batteries
Belt driven Rohloff
Able to charge directly from solar panels

Appreciate any leads I can get. Thanks in advance!

Maybe ask @pushkar ?
He sells this bike called WattWagon.

He has 880Wh battery, but considering companies like Juiced and Frey have 1000Wh battery, I feel like he might be able to give you 1000Wh option.
It comes with Bafang Ultra, which is a solid motor. For some reason power is rated at 750W instead of 1000W?
I am not sure Bafang can be connected to solar panel, never thought about it.
The WattWagon does not have full suspension, but he might have access to full suspension frame option? I don't know.
Yes, it does come with Rohloff belt drive.
I'm liking the WattWagon! Are they shipping yet?
Thanks!

And whatever happened to the XF1 🤔
It did have the belt drive, mid motor and full suspension.
But I guess the battery capacity (400Wh) will be a deal breaker.

Great looking bike!... but they use the Bosch system :-(

But it has not got full suspension!?
I want something almost exactly like a R&M SuperDelite Rohloff without E14 but i'm beginning to turn away from Bosch because of their anti-tuning tech and it being a pain to charge from DC.

If I had to give up one thing on my list, it would be FS. I'm mostly touring, and hard tails are lighter. A MAJOR advantage WattWagon has, is being able to put 8 Amps back in from AC (for me, that equates to spending 2 hours in a Starbucks as opposed to 4 hours), AND being able to charge direct from solar. I like the way the Bosch alternates between the two 500wh batteries, but the WattWagon still has 884wh, and DOUBLE the torque! At $2400 less,... for me, It's a no brainer.

Hey guys, you are right, the UC Pro doesn't have full suspension belt drive, but I can definitely make a full suspension with chain. I am trying out a version right now - works well. See comment below.

RM has a cool custom tensioner that allows the belt tension to be within acceptable range (see picture). Great engineering !

Hi Kelly,

I just checked and here are a couple of options
1. Solar route
here how you can charge our batteries with solar panels

a. 100W Solar Panel or This 170W solar panel
b. MPPT Boost converter
3. The output of the converter will go directly to our battery (we provide an anderson charging connector as standard).

2. Super big battery route
If you can take a trailer, I can provide you like a super big dual battery pack ( so 3000x2 = 6000Wh or more), for nearly 300 mile range per charge ! That might be a more cost effective option tbh in the long run. That is absolutely doable with the UC Pro.

I am testing a 1800 wh dual battery config on my test rig, and seems to be extremely cool. I plan to offer this as a touring option on the frame for M / L/ XL, and trailer mounted for frame size XS / S, with Dual satiator chargers.

Let me know if either options work. For me personally, if you get the 6000Wh, there is really no range anxiety any more, and with the Satiators charging at 7A, you can charge the batteries in 4-5 hours tops. You can absolutely supplement it with solar, but this gives you a lot of flexibility.

Oh.. one more thing - I am also testing a dual suspension frame - though with Ti, it is more a soft tail than a full dual suspension - so i can actually put a belt on it. I can custom build it but will take a little time.

The dual battery config would be awesome, but I'd still do solar as well. Need to charge cameras, drone, laptop, etc, on extended camping trips.

Yes, it does come with Rohloff belt drive.
Timpo! I owe you one! I just made two phone calls. One to Pushkar (He's amazing!), and one cancelling my order for the R&M Delite :) Thanks again!

I bailed on the Bosch bike. @pushkar is going to build me a dual battery, fat tire, version of his Watt Wagon Ultimate Commuter Pro.
If you find out that the solar doesn't work as expected (panels can't be pinched, too large un-rolled, problems when the sun goes behind clouds, etc.) then you may find parts of what i wrote useful?

I had read your post, before I wrote this one. It was very useful. Thank you.
