Court, can you compare the 2015 Dash against the 2016?

You drove both of them. Looks like in your review the 500 Hub motor responded better than the mid-motor. For those of us thinking about an upgrade would you recommend it? Which one is faster to 20mph , 28mph, better hill climber? The range doesn't look like it improved much at all by going to the 350w motor. Besides the hydraulic brakes and motor is there anything far improved from year to year?

I rode a Dash at the Electric Expo in Houston. It didn't impress me as being that much better than my 2014 although I have the rear hub motor. Whatever benefit is to be had it is not necessarily in superiority over previous versions and there is no throttle on the new ones. PAS only. Of course I was not being asked. Mind my own business, mind my own business.

I rode the 2016 at Interbike and its mid-drive motor was about as loud as a lawnmower (in comparison to the nearly silent 2015 model with a hub motor, that is). Surely there are louder mid-drives than the Currie/IZIP/TransX mid-drive, but since I ride a 2015 Dash daily, the difference was particularly glaring to me. Otherwise, seems like a nice bike. They seem to have lowered the price on the 2016s from 2,999 down to $2,599 (according to their website, at least), which is a nice change. I'm sure it's better up steeper hills than the 2015, too, but I've found that my hub motor bike beats the Bosch mid-drive bikes up most easy to moderate hills. I've been told that the 2016 is just as fast as the 2015 (i.e. it may continue to accelerate above 28mph, just like my 2015 model), however, I haven't been able to confirm this myself with a 2016 as I was confined to an indoor test track.

I do love the silent hub on my 2015. I prefer not to have people know what I'm driving. Plus I love the twist throttle (ex dirt bike rider here) . The mid-motor looks to have 33ft/lbs more torque than the hub,but the hub spins faster.

My hub drive bikes have all been faster than the mid drive bosch but I still prefer it. (Some because it's amazing full suspension) And climbing steeper hills isn't even close. The Bosch will tow the overheated hubdrive bike up the steep hills.
