Well, I was trying to weigh in on this for you over the past few days but have been waiting to get my account approved so I could post (Yes, this is my first post on this forum).
I shopped and rode the Como and Vado when I made my purchase a few months ago. I was able to ride them back to back and really other than the more upright stance on the Como - they are very similar bikes. As a 6', 200 lb, 51 yr old out of shape guy going through a mid-life crisis, my main motivation was to just be more active in general and not become a riding fanatic necessarily. So I opted for the Como as the more comfortable casual option of the two. Plus, I wasn't going to do anything more aggressive than road and occasional flat canal path surfaces, so didn't see a need for the Vado fork. The final factor that weighed into my decision is that I was able to get very good deal on a leftover 2019 Como floor model.
Now after a couple of months, I do debate my decision. I'm happy with the Como, it is everything I honestly need, but as others have mentioned - an e-bike can transform your riding experience. I find myself riding for longer distances and more aggressively and that makes me wonder if the Vado would have been a better choice long-term. If I was buying today (which I honestly thought hard about upgrading with the current deal going on) I might opt for the Vado instead.
Seeing that you pulled the trigger on the Vado, I think you made a great choice. And that Dove Grey is very classy and tasteful. It would have been my choice if I went with the Vado. Congrats!
