Choosing a Step Through

Despite perusing countless bikes on this great EBR site, I always seem to come back to the Juiced CCS. After test riding a Faraday Courtland (which is out of my price range, unfortunately), I’m convinced I need a Step-Thru model, but am afraid the Juiced Medium Step-Thru will be too small for me. I’m 74 years old, 225 lbs with a 30″ pants inseam. Anyone with experience of this model or suggestions?

I'm 5'10" with a 32" inseam, and the large frame is just okay. I can stand on both feet astride the bike, but with not a lot of room to spare. Putting one foot down and keeping the other on the pedal, my usual stance at a stoplight etc., is comfortable enough. I can't compare to the middle size step-thru, not having ridden one, but I wonder sometimes if I would have preferred the extra wiggle room that a medium frame would allow. And if I were any less flexible, the step-thru would surely have been the better choice. Just my two cents.

I own the M original Cross Current high step. I test rode the step thru model and the fit felt virtually identical to my high step frame. I know the original Cross Current step thru couldn’t accept the bigger 17.4 or 21AH batteries. I’m not sure if that is still the case with the Cross Current S.
