Chain tensioner/guide after crash?

My 2019 CrossCurrent S chain fell off and got jammed into my rear tire. The bike went down hard but I jumped away unharmed. Chain falling off has happened several times before. Is something out of adjustment? Can I put an aftermarket tensioner or guide to keep it on the sprockets? Suggestions welcomed.

Sorry to hear that but glad you came through relatively unscathed. Do you recall what gear you were in when the chain came loose? Were you shifting at the time? Just hit a bump?

Probably a middle gear, going about 12-15 mph, went over a small drop curb, about 1”. Chain jammed totally unexpectedly.
