Yep, it's gonna cost me a lot no matter what. Just checked: If I keep my old phone for the bike, I pass up an $1100 discount on the new phone. That would almost pay for 2 Wahoo ACEs, so no keeping the old phone.

S25 Ultra is US$1,780 at Samsung Poland including all taxes (converted from PLN).

Samsung has discontinued the flagship Note line. They point to the S25 Ultra (the only model with stylus) as the successor to my Note20. I want the stylus.

To be honest, Samsung has been unable to invent anything better with the S25, and the market rumour has it the S26 could be a disaster.

How so? It absolutely does! (And the map here is zoomed out!) If you want me to, I will zoom in to the nearest town to show more street names.

A lot of information comes from the time just after the ACE release date. I'm sure the product was greatly underbaked then. After several service software updates, the computer behaves like it should (and I expect even more improvements). For instance, the early ver 3 release presented the e-bike battery level as small icons, which made me infuriated. It is all fixed now.

I'm impressed with the ACE's battery life. In the Auto backlight, the battery feels like it were there for the eternity. However, you need to set the brightness to Auto MAX if you plan riding in the direct sunshine. Then the battery consumption is still slow but noticeable.

Of course the ACE shows street names. It shows POIs, too! (The heart points at Caffè Italiano, and is my own Saved Location).
If you want to see the principal road names, you need to zoom out a little.
The contents of the map is controlled by Layers (see the icon in the bottom left corner of the map).

Still married after presenting all this to the missus, so ordering the S25 Ultra tonight and riding down to Cadence Cyclery for the ACE tomorrow. (Same price as Amazon, but I'd rather give them the money.)

A little worried though about new kitchen cabinets coming up again.

Jeremy, I'm sure you will experience some unpleasant glitches on the initial setup (which otherwise should be very easy). If you, for instance, will be met by the device unresponsiveness for long minutes, don't panic Long press the main switch to turn the device off and on. I say it because I have gone through it myself and would like to spare you some grievance.

Of course, it all starts by installing the app called just "Wahoo" and registering yourself with Wahoo Sports.

Also, bear in mind you might not get the GPS fix indoors.

P.S. I wonder when you discover how to operate the Bike Bell This feature is not really advertised!
