Anybody know how to get your hands on Bosch ebike dealer software? You know - the stuff you'd use to change firmware or possibly tweak parameters that requires a trip to the dealer. I'm assuming the mothership doesn't want anyone other than dealers to have it, but that's irrelevant. Or is it web-based and pretty much impossible for a consumer to acquire?

It's easy. Get a job at a shop that sells Bosch, then go to service training. Now for the real question, why did you buy Bosch if you hate them?

I'm curious what makes you think I hate Bosch. Not sure where you read that in my post - maybe you can point that out? I don't hate Bosch. I'm rather fond of their bike offerings. I hate being forced to use a dealer. I hate the idea of someone else working on my bikes.

the software would only let you do so much. my mechanic has to get the local rep to log into his computer to do big things. the software is limited on what a mechanic can do.

you can unless you have a purion. the dealer can do that.
I have debated with Bosch & Trek for >10,000 miles to adjust the speedometer.
Police residential radar consistently shows the Purion as 2+mph inaccurate. Bosch & Trek say it is accurate.

I say I am being robbed of 2+mph (10%) of motor assist on the top end.

Funny is my wife’s Trek Verve+2 with the spoke mounted magnet — it is 100% accurate. She can out-pedal me with her extra motor assist.

Yes, I would like the Purion software.

Additionally, the Bosch system keeps “X” number of miles of history allowing the dealer and Bosch to see how you ride your bike. Mine shows 98% Turbo. They do not like that, telling me to slow down. BAH!! Can’t do that!

Yeah, I understand you can get some battery data too. I'm using a Purion, so it's pretty limited in the information you get. Even if I didn't tweak anything it would be useful to be able to log battery data.

Dealer trips are also pretty inconvenient. I got an ebike to spend less time in my truck, and it makes me cringe a little bit every time I have to spend the 2 hours it requires to get it to a Trek store and back. When I do go in, they check the firmware and update if available. Not all firmware updates are improvements.

Yes I have a Purion display. I’ve calculated my speed being off about 8%. Funny you bring up the dealer saying it’s accurate, mine did too.

yes the purion tends to have the tire set small. most bosch setups do. but thats the only one you cant adjust tire size. some dealers are not as flexible as mine.

Does anyone know on a Bosch system what an Error 50 means?
This just showed up on my Purion display.
