Best place to buy Specialized eBike?

Looking at Specialized ebikes which do not seem to budge too far from SRP in the LA area - are there any highly
recommended online bike shops that budge a little on price or do the dealers not have much room to work?

My girlfriend who has smaller hands was told the handle grip can be exchanged on the bike but it is an after market
expense - rather odd to have to pay to replace brand new handle bar grips...

Thanks so much for any heads up

Hi,
Specialized work on the dealership principle and it is the best that you buy from a good authorised LBS near to you. The dealership means that the prices of new bikes are pretty uniform so the dealers cannot compete against one another based on discount. Discount on older bikes is accepted by the distributor.

This is what I understand in general and hope your fellow Californian can give more details.

AFAIK , No authorized Specialized dealer will ship you a bicycle . period . You have to pick up at the store .
Of course you can buy direct from Specialized website at list price and they will ship .

Are you willing to consider a previously owned Vado... the owner claims like new, but no mileage listed ;)

Another option... a Trek super commuter in a size small with 289 miles.

any thoughts on the grip exchange post or prior to purchase for smaller people?
Many dealers will include this type of 'adjustment' as a free service with more expensive bike sales. Doesn't hurt to ask.

Nice bike indeed. That would fit me perfectly. I test rode this and an 8S+ at a local Trek dealer and they both were nice performers. Very solid feel.
