Bamboo Ebike

Considering bamboo is equal in strength to steel but lightweight, and a renewable resource, this Ebike by Smart Grass is interesting. Battery is integrated into the bamboo down tube. The attachment points are made of multiple layers of Flax. Other models feature carbon fibre and bamboo.

Rigidity would vary by bamboo species and wall thickness. There are plenty of acoustic bikes already being manufactured from this species so it appears to be a proven alternative.

I'm not an engineer but bamboo would be way too flexible and I am not sure if that's a good thing.
The frame twisting when you're cornering can be dangerous. Also I feel like it maybe a unstable?

Strength does not equal rigidity. I think something like carbon fiber would be a better choice for bicycle.

Personal opinion very rarely outperforms engineering when it comes to evaluating material design.

there you go the extra weight wold not be an issue. but man if it catches fire its gonna be a bonfire.
