Bafang 1000W Middrive issues

Jack Cape Cod…had a local Bike Shop install a BF 1000w Middrive on a Cattrike. $840.00 labor later, 4 trips close to home..1st two trips, max 4 mph…3rd trip 12mph….4th trip back to 4 mph….with shift grinding. What happed? And does anyone know where an Expert shop is near me….Mass.

so your bike isn't going above 4mph?

Just one time to 12mph…I think the top speed should be around 25mph.

It is shifting…but with some chatter and skipping….thank you

I have no idea….the shop should be experts, no. I’m an expert at a half a dozen things…but not bikes. I seek the best shop in Mass. ie Rhode Island…in the Cape here , they’re all stoners…
