    Shipping Lies, be prepared

All the other crazy stuff happening in the world, and people are deciding to get into snarky exchanges on an EBIKE FORUM with folks they've never met.

Folding bike - want it all.

I'm not aware of a 20 inch, fat tire, front suspension, torque sensing, trail ready, throttle enabled folder that weighs under 50 lbs. At least not one from a company with a track record. That criteria is bit of a dream at this point. Folders are heavy because they need to compensate for, well...

    Folding commuter bike

I've had a 20 inch folder, and a couple of Bromptons (including an electric kit from Grin). There's only one choice if you're using mass transportation. Brompton. Trust me, there is no competition. It looks dated because the general design IS dated. It works and is surprisingly robust, why...

    WARNNG re: Biktrix Return Policy

Wait, the OP checked a box saying they agreed with the terms and conditions, when they actually never read the terms and conditions? Now they want to go back and say they don't agree? I'm going to do that with everything I buy from now on. Can't wait to get that Ferrari and mansion, and then...

CCX log after 2 years & 15,000+ miles & melted connectors today.

Wow, that's a great long term log. I agree that Juiced doesn't seem to be the incredible value that it used to be. Still quite good, especially the battery capacity, but other choices might suit some people better. Competition is a good thing. @youth do you think you've gotten your money's...

    Haibike customer service

This may be technically true, but it's not in the spirit of what a customer expects when they spend so much money AND buy from a local dealer. I doubt most people would buy an ebike if these support limitations/hurdles were clearly laid out beforehand. And no, fine print buried in a bunch of...

Juiced Customer Support: Does it exist? Absolutely! Just be patient during these crazy times.

Yeah, they can be slow to respond at times, but they're not going to take your money and run. They've been around for a while, it'll get sorted out.

any folder or e scooter for really steep hills?

I've taken my Blix Vika+ up 20% grades with no problem. Of course they weren't miles long (probably a half mile or so), but I was able to maintain 10-13MPH the whole time. It's a little out of the price range, but it climbs like a beast. I hit 36MPH on the decent before I decided to slow down a...

    Segway C80 ebike

In terms of using this on dedicated bike infrastructure, I'd only be concerned about the weight. If that thing is as heavy as it looks, I wouldn't be comfortable riding a regular bike or jogging near it. It also looks to have really wide handle bars.

Seeking advise on a (mostly) grocery run economical ebike for ebike newbie (who rides a regular bike 2K miles a year). Steep hills involved daily.

A few things stood out to me: 1. If you're used to a road bike, and still want a similar feel, I wouldn't get the Aventon. It has a cadence sensor (unless I'm mistaken), so the assist is based strictly on how fast your cranks are moving. This is fun for a while, but you may begin to feel...

    1st rear wheel puncture

For anyone with difficulty removing hub motors, I would also recommend spinning the axle a little. Sometimes, they can rotate inside the dropouts, making it seem like the wheel is glued to the bike. Technically, they aren't supposed to spin at all inside the dropouts, but I've found on several...

    Magnum Ebike - disappointed

Based on my experience dealing directly with Magnum, this doesn't surprise me. If there's a bright side, at least you aren't tied to them for two bikes. Still, it's unfortunate to hear.

    Impressed with Juiced bikes but??????

I've bought several items from Juiced (including a bike) between March 2017 and February 2020. You'll be fine, but keep the following in mind: 1. Expect to wait about 2.5 weeks between the time of purchase, and the item's arrival if it's in stock. This can be off-putting if you've become...

Finally a rival of Juiced? Surface 604 Shred

I have a CC Air with the torque sensor upgrade. It feels different than cadence sensing, no matter what cadence/gear combo you apply when using just the cadence sensor. It's close, but you'll notice the difference when you try to put more power into the pedals. I greatly prefer the...

Looking for foldable ebikes for family...

Budget is an important factor. You can get a Blix folder (which I have) for half the price of an electric Brompton (I have the Grin kit with a regular Brompton). But I've found their use cases to be very different. Both are solid choices, in my opinion. Can't speak on the GoCyle, but I can...

Juiced CCX not as fast as I thought

I have an older CC Air and can hit 28mph easily in gear 8. A few things to check: 1. Battery level. Ebikes get slower as the battery drains. Are you seeing those slower speeds with a full battery? 2. Tire pressure/clothing wind resistance. I'm guessing you already know this since you have a...

Trunkable/folding, long distance (60 mile?) Ebike thats light (sub 50lbs) with throttle??

Some of these bikes are fine, but you won't be getting them on a bus, even thought they fold. I had the Magnum. Too heavy imho. I have a Vika +. No complaints, but there's no way I'd be comfortable lugging it onto a bus. I think you'd be well suited seeing some of these 20 inch models in person...

New Commuter Ebike From Ride1Up... Dethrones Juiced CCS/X for Best Value?

Looks good, but I prefer my Juiced for a few reasons: Higher top speed (I can get over 30mph on a full battery) Torque and cadence sensor Bigger battery More tire options, due to it being 700cc

Trunkable/folding, long distance (60 mile?) Ebike thats light (sub 50lbs) with throttle??

At the risk of sounding like a broken record: bus=Brompton. Get a 2 speed version, and the Grin kit. You can put whatever size battery you want in the front bag. I run a 48V 19.2 battery inside the S-Bag, and that consistenly gets me to 27mph on throttle. I live in a very hilly area (Seattle)...

New Ripcurrent S owner - cool bike, frustrating support

I'm making no excuses for the missing fender and the rack, but I think it would be wise to temper expectations of a company like Juiced. And I say this as a Juiced bike owner. They'll get you sorted, but it's not going to be as fast as some giant company would. They sell at a pretty low price...
