Hey Peter, By "turning on" your battery, d'you mean clicking its capacity-button? I ask because when this issue first occurred for me, I'd opened and cleaned all the parts to my Intuvia and remote-controller. My battery's capacity-button is inoperable after a damaging drop.

Besides a crank-puller, you'll need whatever proprietary adapter to remove the screws in the cowling that covers your motor. Not sure about most HaiBikes, but mine needed a hex-driver for the two screws holding the hatch below the motor, and a LONG Torx (not so common) to remove the three screws...

Curious: do you have the Intuvia? You get assist by continuously holding down the minus-button? Any idea what level of assist you get with this configuration? Will the system work normally afterwards?
