PAS sensor failed want to find a couple spares Lectric wont sell spares.....

My first inclination is to search ALIEXPRESS.com as all kinds of ebike parts are being sold including aftermarket batteries for the xp std. folding bike. You'd be surprised what you can find.

    PAS speed ranges

Thanks Jeff, exactly what I wanna know.

    PAS speed ranges

What are the speed ranges for each of the 5 PAS settings on the Lectric XP? Searched everywhere, found nothing.

    Ebike under 1500$

A plastic or plywood panel zip tied to the rack supports should be adequate to keep little feet safe.

    Ebike under 1500$

Im 5'11" and 185lbs. and fit ok. Was worried about fitment before buying, but that issue evaporated when I mounted the bike. I did fiddle with bar height and angle, plus seat adjustmemts till I got it right for my comfort. Suggest you go to a dealer and try the fit of similar bikes first. My...

    Ebike under 1500$

Thats odd, as my xp has very minimal maintenance, but I can see where thrashing the bike and being oblivious to careing about the machine can result in accelerated maintenance and repairs. Really depends on how you treat the bike. I suppose the more money one spends on the bike, the more care...

    Ebike under 1500$

I suggest going with a $900 Lectric XP as a starter bike, then sell it easily for near what you paid and get a bike based on improving upon your newfound experience and expectations.

Is it a good practice to regrease geared hub motors as part of usual preventative maintenance after putting on some mileage?

The manual for LECTRIC XP states Mobil 28 aircraft aviation grease for the planetary gears

    Looking for a folding ebike

Well I picked an Lectric XP weighing some 52lbs with battery. It can be rolled around in folded state, but there is a learning curve. Once figured out, it rolls acceptably.

    Idiot drivers!

After riding motorcycles and scooters for some 50 years, I also am selling off my fleet in favor of ebiking. BTW, I like what was done in the Netherlands making car drivers responsible for any bicycle related collision.......even if caused by the bicyclist.

    Shock Stop Seatpost Finally Here

Well those gas-oil struts seem to last long enough, evidenced by my 31 year old motorcycle still working well. But then my xp has a cheap seatpost spring thingy plus springs in the seat.

    Lectric XP

What a clever idea. I have an unused umbrella base and couple of wood closet rods not doing anything so I can bulld one also. THANK YOU

    Shock Stop Seatpost Finally Here

From a mechanical engineering viewpoint, that is callad a "progressive spring" which is often seen in conjunction with hydraulics in motorcycle front fork suspension systems dating back to the 1970's

    Shock Stop Seatpost Finally Here

I maintain that a lever actioned spring is esentially no better than a sraight spring. As a mechanical engineer, I think a adjustabe nitrogen gas or hydraulic control would be preferable for bound and rebound control to the ancient metal spring with friction control pogo stick concept. New is...

    Shock Stop Seatpost Finally Here

Thats an awful lot of money for a 35mm suspension travel spring operated seatpost. I'm thinking buyers are gullible and have more money than brains. For $20, a 45mm spring seatpost is available from aliexpress, if one cared to search. Good luck, and have a great day!

    Lectric XP

I was thinking similar, but carrying the extra battery behind the seat downtube. There seems to be a space and mount point for that on the Lectric xp. A wiring connect can be a real issue.

    MOBIL 28 AVIATION GREASE

That's what is reccommended by my ebike service department for re-lubing the geared hub motor gears, every 3000 miles. Now to figure out how to get the new grease in there.

    Chronic 05 error

I've read there are several internal motor sensors, like 6 of them, any one of them could be malfunctioning. They are generally replaceable once the defective unit is identified. Because there are several functioning together, the defective unit is not routinely in a position to cause the code...
