Well yeah.
That's why I have two motors.
And two batteries.
And two throttles.

And two wheels.

And two chain wheels now too to as well.

I fixed my mid-drive throttle too.
Now it stays where I put it,..

I added a stiction wire.

@PedalUma knows a guy that disappeared without a trace after he wrapped a zip tie around his throttle.

Now I can disappear twice as good, so's no one will finds me.


I bought a four dollar throttle lock, but I prefer my wire.

Checking my thread depth,..

Thread just starts to grab,..

Threaded until it snugs up,..

Eight threads start to finish,..

Less than 2½ threads on the original hex bolts,..

Time to find new bolts.
About half a dozen threads longer?

In the interest of going Really Really FAST, I'm gunna remove my 42t chain wheel for now and go with the 52t until I gets new bolts.

I should be fine if I stay outta granny gear.
My derailleur can't stretch that far without a longer chain.

I broke one of the damn mounting tabs off the chain gaurd,..

I'm really not keen on the cheesy plastic chain guard.

My original chain guard was a double sided bash guard.

I'm gunna see what I can find on Aliexpress.
Meanwhile, I'm gunna hot glue the damn tab back on.

I got the 52t chainring and chain gaurd installed.
The glued tab is holding.

So maybe with the big chain ring, and my 20 mph speed limit, I shouldn't need to use my 11t sprocket?

I might be able to use 4th or 5th gear to get 80% motor rpms?

I haven't done any gear feet tachometer calculations.
I'm just gunna wring the snot outta it and see what happens.

Without speeding of course.

It seems to me that a rear direct drive hub motor would give you everything you want, and weigh less too.
Direct-drive motors and less weight! Maybe a first.

Yeah, there was no good reason to add the mid-drive.
I don't even have any hills to climb.
I just wanted to do it.
It's kinda fun.

I could replace the rear hub motor with a regular wheel and just use the mid-drive?

I've thought about regen, but the roads are completely flat around here, and I rarely use my brakes.

I can ride up to ½ hour straight without touching the brakes or handlebars.
Even the Grin guy says the best you can hope for is about a 10% return.

I've thought about welding my clutch, but adding a mid-drive is more funner.
